Reviews portray Bei as a standout Lebanese spot in downtown Montreal, with fresh, authentic flavors across wraps, shawarmas, and bowls, crispy saj bread, and generous portions; the beef and chicken shawarmas are repeatedly praised as among the best in the city, and dishes like halloumi, labneh, and za'atar fries are consistently noted for quality and balance; the ambiance is welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with friendly staff and good value including student discounts; while overall experience is highly positive, a few comments mention slower service, occasional miscommunication at the counter, or a safety incident in one visit; taken together, Bei emerges as a top choice for those craving high quality Lebanese food and a vibrant, authentic vibe that invites return.
I give this place 3 stars :
I have had crispy Saj with garlic potato, the beef was okay but the sandwich itself lacks taste to be honest , the potatoes were not the best. It's your average shawarma place.
I have seen the tiktoks & I have had higher expectations, I wouldn't be back here.
On the other hand the service is good & the place is very clean
This is genuinely one of the finest Lebanese restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The staff are incredibly humble & welcoming, the food is absolutely fantastic, & the culture radiates warmth, tradition, & heartfelt passion. I couldn't ask for anything more.
I do feel for the business that couldn't continue its journey in that space before Bei took over. I have deep respect & empathy for every business owner who pours their heart into their dream but faces the challenge of letting go. Still, I believe a beautiful truth persists in this very place, now home to Bei: when something ends, something even greater can begin, just like the sun breaking through after a storm.
Subtly, that realization really ministers to me; it's a quiet reminder of a beautiful new beginning. All the best to Bei restaurant on their exciting new journey ahead, & a heartfelt thought to the former owners. I sincerely hope that, for them too, beauty will rise from the ashes.
Excellente expérience chez Maison BEI ! Le shawarma est grave délicieux, les portions sont bien généreuses & le service très chaleureux. On sent la vraie cuisine libanaise! Je recommande vivement !
Went here when they opened & it blew my mind. Very reasonably priced & it was really high quality. The sauce is fire! The wrap is well packed & toasted. It has become my go to spot if I'm around downtown & don't want to splurge & get a solid meal.
I tried Bei tonight & it was excellent. I had the Saj Bei Chicken sandwich & it was so juicy & flavourful. I will definitely come back to try more! The place is also super clean & the staff very welcoming.
