Review Summary

Bei - Beiroots draws wide praise for authentic Lebanese flavors and fresh ingredients, with shawarma and saj frequently named among the best in Montreal, notes of crisp textures, rich toum, and generous fillings inside the bread. The ambience is warm, clean, and modern, with thoughtful branding and Lebanese music that enhance the experience. The staff are described as friendly and attentive, and the downtown location is valued for price and accessibility, with student discounts adding to the value. Dishes like za'atar fries, labneh, halloumi pita, and falafel bowls are highlighted, while some reviewers say the sandwiches are the standout and bowls remain solid. Occasional feedback points to longer waits or occasional order mix ups for takeout, but the overall sentiment remains very positive. Overall, Bei - Beiroots is presented as a top Lebanese fast casual in Montreal, delivering fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, generous portions, and a vibrant, welcoming vibe.

Absolutely delicious & super authentic! The chicken shawarma is to die for-seriously, ask for the Bei one, you won't regret it! The service is incredibly friendly & they make sure everything is A1. Highly recommend!

I had a classic chicken shawarma wrap. It was very delicious. The garlic sauce is not overpowering. The whole sandwich was very well balanced.

The store is so new & beautiful.

Right in the heart of downtown Montreal - prime spot for university & college students - & I have to say, I was genuinely pleasantly surprised.

First off, major credit for the marketing & design. Everything felt thoughtfully done. The colors, the wallpaper, the art, even the layout - it all works. You walk in, there's stairs to the right leading upstairs for more seating, a beautiful arza (Lebanese cedar) feature that immediately gives you that cultural nod, the shawarma spits front & center, & a super clean counter. The owner was working when I went, which I always appreciate.

I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first - there are so many shawarma spots in Montreal, & not all of them are truly shawarma. But everything looked fresh, & it delivered.

I ordered the chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, chicken sandwich, & the za'atar fries with sauce.

The za'atar fries were excellent - honestly a highlight. Great seasoning, great flavour.

Ranking-wise, I'd say:
1. Beef shawarma
2. Chicken shawarma
3. Chicken sandwich

The beef was my favourite - really solid. The chicken shawarma was pretty authentic (& I say this as someone Lebanese), though for my personal taste it had a bit too much toum (garlic sauce), & I would've liked a bit more tang to balance it. I did get it extra crispy, which I'd recommend. Loved that they include fries inside the sandwich - that classic touch.

Location-wise, downtown isn't my favourite because it's always jam-packed, but that's part of the vibe.

Overall, I really enjoyed it & will definitely be back. Great execution, thoughtful branding, & genuinely good shawarma. Well done.

If you're looking for one of the best - if not *the* best - Lebanese restaurants in Montreal, Bei is a must-try.

I tried the beef shawarma saj & the chicken shawarma saj, & both were absolutely outstanding. The saj was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying soft & warm inside. The portions were generous, filled with juicy, flavorful beef & chicken.
The toum was divine - creamy, garlicky, & the perfect complement. You can truly taste the freshness in every bite.

The ambiance makes it even more special. Lebanese songs playing in the background truly give you a taste of Beirut right here in Montreal. It feels warm, vibrant, & authentic - like a little escape to Lebanon.

An amazing experience overall. Highly recommend for anyone craving high-quality Lebanese food & a true Lebanese vibe!

Unfortunately, this was the worst chicken shawarma I've had. The chicken was very dry, the garlic sauce had a bitter taste, & the beef was only slightly better. I also found the prices quite high for the quality. I purchased 4 trios & 2 chicken sandwiches for a total of $109

The service was good & the place is clean, the prices are great for downtown, they have a trio deal: chicken shawarma with fries & coke for 10$ which is great. The reason I gave the food 3 stars simply because the sandwich doesn't have much chicken & I felt bloated after, I felt like I got full from the fries more.. but also I'm getting old so my stomach is not handling greasy foods very well. But for the price it's a great place for students.

The shawarma chicken wrap was so good, ask for extra crispy is even better. Needed a bit more sauce in the middle but was very tasty. The French fries were so crispy & tasty!

Had it 3 times to perfect my review. Second day it opened, last week, & today. Had 3 different things. Chicken is very very dry. Beef is a bit better but still on the drier & saltier end for shawarma. Bei style is awesome. Love the sauce. Their crispy shawarma makes it a lot better. Without the bei style & without crispy pita/saj it's mediocre. Good student discounts!

Had the chicken combo, sandwich size was okay & also good packaging but it was supper greasy & super not good, I had stomach ache for 24 hours & had to leave work mid day. Potatoes cut too small & overcooked with dark brown Color? Sorry first & last time, money wasted.

Absolutely loved our experience. The food was fresh, flavourful, & beautifully prepared. The crispy chicken & beef shawarma were incredibly delicious-perfectly seasoned & cooked just right. Their homemade pineapple mint lime juice was unbelievably refreshing & paired perfectly with the meal.

The service was warm & attentive from start to finish, & the atmosphere is cozy, modern, & welcoming. Definitely one of Montreal's must-try spots. Highly recommend!

I tried Bei tonight & it was excellent. I had the Saj Bei Chicken sandwich & it was so juicy & flavourful. I will definitely come back to try more! The place is also super clean & the staff very welcoming.

It was my first visit today, I ordered a chicken & beef Shawerma & Laban Ayran yogurt drink, I found the sandwiches to be very dry almost no sauce inside. As for the drink, I'm not sure they know how to do it because it was so thick that you can't even sip it out of the straw. Overall it's okay but nothing special.
