Review Summary

Reviews describe BBQ KUI as a lively, bustling Korean barbecue spot with a warm, celebratory vibe where conversations flow as the grill sizzles and aromas build anticipation. The menu offers a wide variety of marinated meats, udon, and other favorites, with a bring-your-own-wine option seen as a bonus that enhances the experience. Food is consistently praised for freshness and flavor, and service is noted as fast and attentive even on busy nights, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Some drawbacks include occasional understaffing leading to missing orders and longer waits, and a higher price point with some complaints about sides; a noticeable amount of smoke is also mentioned. Overall, this location is regarded as a reliable, repeatable choice in Montreal and Verdun, described as a hidden gem by many and a place guests plan to return to for celebrations and casual dinners alike.

We went on a Friday evening in a group of three. It was perfect. All the food was delicious. The atmosphere was sort of busy, happy, bustling, celebration. Everybody was having a good time.

I really like the pacing of Korean BBQ, you have time to talk while your food is sizzling. The smells are great, the anticipation, & finally the food, all make for the best experience to enjoy the company.

Also, our own wine selection was super. :)

It was our first time & not the last, the service was excellent very friendly staff who explained every single dish served , the meat was excellent. We will be back, also it's bring your own wine ( they have a convenient store right across ). Overall 10/10 :)

Once again, we went to Kui for supper, & it was simply amazing!
There is a reason we go to this little gem time & time again. The food is simply good & consistent. Nice shrimp, cut of beef premium, the service is attentive, & M. Lee & his wife are so nice. I find it important to give good review for restaurant but also like to continue to give them praise when granted. Being a customer of Kui since they opened & after going there numerous times will say It's my number one restaurant to go to for a nice supper.

Edit!!! Went to Kui tonight, & after going there numerous times, I am so happy to go there. The food is amazing... the best fresh meat & M. Lee is such a nice gentleman, always happy to see us, & always goes out of his way to make us feel welcome. It is a loud, fun & happy place. It's a bring your own wine, so if you want to try a real good Korean grill experience, you need to go se M. Lee at Kui!

Went there on a whim!!! Actually, the smells kinda brought us in. As I love Korean BBQ, I was excited to see one in Verdun. The place is nice. The BBQ grill works on butane, & I find them a little slow versus some place that use Natural gaz, but overall, when the plaque is up temperature we have a nice sear. The beef & chicken were very tasty as the appetizers we took. The staff is friendly & is very eager to please. Overall a great experience, & as a new restaurant in Verdun, I wish them good fortune & all the best!!
