BBQ KUI offers tasty Korean BBQ with well marinated meats, a lively, bustling vibe, and a bring-your-own-wine option that many guests appreciate, but experiences vary with some diners reporting slow, understaffed service and missing dishes, a mismatch between all you can eat and the set menu, and high prices; the strong smoke and lingering aroma are common complaints, yet the food is often praised as excellent and many consider it one of Montreal's top Korean BBQ spots when the kitchen keeps up and service is smooth.
We went on a Friday evening in a group of three. It was perfect. All the food was delicious. The atmosphere was sort of busy, happy, bustling, celebration. Everybody was having a good time.
I really like the pacing of Korean BBQ, you have time to talk while your food is sizzling. The smells are great, the anticipation, & finally the food, all make for the best experience to enjoy the company.
Meilleur restaurant BBQ Coréen que j'ai essayé dans la région du grand Montréal. C'est loin de chez moi, le stationnement n'est pas toujours facile... mais ça en vaut le coup!!

Food was amazing, everything tasted great & fresh, service was top notch, not only nice & attentive but food came out quickly despite the restaurant being full. I had made the mistake of going to another Korean bbq chain that I won't name where food took 1 hour to get to us (& we still had to grill it) & food wasn't that great, but this place was the complete opposite.
It was also my daughter's bday & they made sure to make her feel special.
Once again, we went to Kui for supper, & it was simply amazing!
There is a reason we go to this little gem time & time again. The food is simply good & consistent. Nice shrimp, cut of beef premium, the service is attentive, & M. Lee & his wife are so nice. I find it important to give good review for restaurant but also like to continue to give them praise when granted. Being a customer of Kui since they opened & after going there numerous times will say It's my number one restaurant to go to for a nice supper.
Edit!!! Went to Kui tonight, & after going there numerous times, I am so happy to go there. The food is amazing... the best fresh meat & M. Lee is such a nice gentleman, always happy to see us, & always goes out of his way to make us feel welcome. It is a loud, fun & happy place. It's a bring your own wine, so if you want to try a real good Korean grill experience, you need to go se M. Lee at Kui!
Went there on a whim!!! Actually, the smells kinda brought us in. As I love Korean BBQ, I was excited to see one in Verdun. The place is nice. The BBQ grill works on butane, & I find them a little slow versus some place that use Natural gaz, but overall, when the plaque is up temperature we have a nice sear. The beef & chicken were very tasty as the appetizers we took. The staff is friendly & is very eager to please. Overall a great experience, & as a new restaurant in Verdun, I wish them good fortune & all the best!!

Nourriture fraîche, très goûteuse, savoureuse! Les personnel très accueillant, prend le temps de nous expliquer les différents plats. Si vous cherchez un vrai bon bbq coréens, c'est ici qu'il faut venir!!
Went on Thursday & it was pretty busy, only 2 floor staff who were very aware & hard working, gave an amazing service despite how busy it was, kept a great attitude throughout the rush & offered great service! Food was delicious, all meats have different, unique & tasty marinades & sauces which were *a m a z i n g*. Appetizers were pretty good as well as the *onion salad* is a must order to pair with your meats, our waiter suggested it & he definitely knows his stuff! However, one aspect that confused me & my partner are the sides, the kimchi & seaweed salad come in take out sauce plastic packaging which is quite wasteful BUT don't worry, the sides still taste very good. Despite every good aspect about Kui, all restaurants have their downsides, so our only uncomfortable experience in the restaurant is the mediocre ventilation, & I am aware that many table BBQ restaurants have this common issue that is mostly unavoidable, but having my hair still smell like bbq currently isn't really comfortable. (I'm about to go shower rn dw) All in all, a great experience & a great service, would definitely recommend & come back again!
Mom & Pop reataurant with excellent atmosphere. We went in & decided to order the Chef's special.. I wish I got a picture because the food/plating was on point! Better than other Korean BBQ I've been to in Montreal. Food was delicious! I'd definitely take my Vancouver friends here. Loved our server, he was so enthusiastic & I could feel how he loved the place & the food.
Best all you can eat Korean BBQ, their marinated meats really make a world of difference & the staff was very attentive to our needs. I will definitely be returning.
I recently dined (with my hubby) at KUI Korean BBQ in Verdun & had a great experience! Our server, Ricky, was exceptionally friendly & made us feel right at home. The all-you-can-eat concept is fantastic, but keep in mind there's a fee for any uneaten food, which is a responsible approach to minimize waste. The highlight of our meal was definitely the meats; the ribeye & chadol (beef brisket) were absolutely tender & flavorful. The prepared appetizers, including takoyaki, fried fish, & fried chicken, were also delicious. I loved the flexibility of ordering exactly what we wanted & in whatever quantities we desired, without the constraints of preset menus. Despite us being really full at the end of our meal, we still managed to order some popsicles (made in Korea!). I recommend the green matcha & red bean one! Being a BYOB establishment made the night even more affordable, & since we visited on a quieter Wednesday, it was a relaxed atmosphere. Ricky informed us that weekends can get quite busy, so reservations are a must! This place is perfect for groups, offering a set price for a fun & interactive dining experience. Just a tip: wear something you don't mind smelling a bit like BBQ, as the ventilation system is a bit old-fashioned & pulls air from the top. Overall, KUI Korean BBQ is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Korean BBQ in a welcoming environment. We can't wait to return with friends.
The owner of the shop was really nice. It was our first time in Korean bbq & he helped us with cooking the food & explained to us what to eat with what & gave us insight on the meals from South Korea. The food was really good. The meat was so tender & the service was incredible! This is a must go.

My friend recommended me this place. I am a big fan of K-bbq. Everything was great & it's BYOB!!!. My favourite was jumuluk. The owner & the servers were very nice as well. Highly recommend this place!!
Best Korean bbq in mtl. BYOB , good quality meats ! Super fun spot to go with a friends. Only negative is that the staff if kind of all over the place, they don't pick up empty dishes which is a little unpleasant when you're a group of people & have no space
