Best ceviche I ever had including 2 years in Ecuador. Pisco sour original was also amazing. Pop corn coliflower en entree was delicious. Merci!View more
Absolutely buzzing spot, Barranco MTL is where the soul of Peru meets the heart of Le Plateau!
First off, the ceviche here is a star. Fresh, vibrant, & packed with flavor, easily one of the best ceviches in Montreal, hands down. If you're a ceviche lover, you can't miss this.
Beyond ceviche, the menu is a playful blend of Peruvian street food & gourmet flair. Causas, salchipapas, & even burgers get the Peruvian treatment. The octopus & arroz con mariscos are crowd-pleasers.
The cocktail game is strong. Pisco sours, maracuja sours, & creative mixes like the spicy mango sour or chilcano are crafted with care & served with flair.
Now, the vibe: it's lively, colorful, & a bit noisy-just like the Barranco district in Lima. Perfect for a night out with friends, a weekend brunch, or a romantic evening.
Whether you're Peruvian, a foodie, or just looking for a great time, Barranco MTL is a must-visit.
Book ahead, or try your luck at the bar for a late-night bite-you won't regret it! 🌟🇵🇪🍹View more
Ordered the crispy cauliflower to share with my friend & Ceviche Barranco as the main dish. The crispy cauliflower was good but the Ceviche Barranco was way too sour for me. 😅View more
Amazing food & drinks, been multiples times & never been disappointed. The lomo saltado, salchipapas asado, yuca fries, & the seafood rice are all amazing. Would recommend the pisco sour or any other of their speciality cocktails & also the chicha morada which is amazing. Definitely recommend!View more
Barranco never disappoints! I've been 4 times already & the quality of their food is always on point. Their drinks are also very good, I recommend you try the maracuya sour!View more
MerciView more
Went for brunch on Saturday. Our server was very cheerful & genuinely enthusiastic about the offerings. The causa appetizer with the octopus was delicious & a good size to share with my partner. The pisco sour cocktails were refreshing & paired well with the acidic kick of the ceviche. We'll be back!View more
Went for a new years special that was advertised for 85$ on the website, only to be charged 100$ for a champagne service we didn't opt for. I don't mind spending the extra money for champagne, but I would rather be given an option & told of the price rather than being charged without knowing. The staff did not care to rectify or explain themselves, left a very sour taste in my mouth. The service was good considering how it was new years & they were busy, but we weren't happy with how that ordeal was handled. Music was too loud & some food was really good, the rest was decent at best.View more
Buen ambiente y excelente servicio.View more
View more
I was really excited to try the Ceviche Barranco because it looked amazing, but I ended up disappointed. The ceviche was just too sour & salty, which overpowered everything else. It looked great on the plate, but the flavors didn't match up. On a brighter note, the sour passion fruit cocktail was amazing in every way, definitely a highlight of the meal. Also, be prepared for a challenge finding parking; it's super hard to get a spot. I hope they can tweak their seasoning because the ingredients seemed fresh.View more
When Peruvian food tastes & looks this good, why go elsewhere? Sent a video of the causa, ceviche, & pisco sours to my friends & family & they are on the next flight to Montreal :)View more
We were a larger group (6 people) & everything we ordered was wonderful. Our server was very attentive & helpful with explaining items on the menu & making recommendations & the atmosphere is great too! We will definitely be back. Highlights were the Ceviche Classico, the Yuca Fries & the Pisco Sour.View more
View more
View more
Pisco Sour vraiment bon!View more
View more
View more
The drinks & food had great presentation. The chicha sour & Maracuya sour were well balanced. The Ceviche Barranco was delicious but the fried Yucas were bland. They do not provide canchita or chifles like other Peruvians restaurants even when I asked for it. Some Peruvian music in the background would be better to have a more complete Peruvian experience. The dinner was pricey.View more
The passion fruit pisco sour & chicha morada was amazing! I had causa al olivo ,conchitas a la Parmesana & order a lomo saltado to go. Everything delicious! The dessert was out of this world! The staff was very friendly, I will come back & 100% recommend this place!View more
View more
I celebrated my birthday Saturday night & my whole group was impressed & grateful to have chosen this restaurant for my celebration. The flavours were perfectly balanced & each bite was an explosion of deliciousness. Good service & pisco sours were delightful. Looking forward to return soon.
View more
The causa with Octopus entre dish was not as good as it was a few months back when I came with my wife. The lime used may be was not fresh, the potatoe used to make the mash potatoe was perhaps changed? I really don't know but it was a more heavenly experience last time we came. The pisco sour was also a bit off. It was okay but for the price you pay you expect something better. The last time we were here the pisco sour was made to perfection. The Lomo Saltado was very good. The quality did not vary from the last time we were here. A real paper menu is always good to have around especially for older folks like us. We invited friends to join us but it did not create the impact we would have liked. The service was okay but once again I expect more for what we had to pay.
Food was excellent!
My family visiting from Oregon was super happy & enjoyed everything
My brother in law talked to the chef, they have friends in common 😎🙃
Thanks for the pisco sour shots!
