One of the most beautiful bar design & most phenomenal cocktail experience I ever had. I just love every details & everything this bar is doing, it is next level of neighborhood cocktail bar. Cocktails are all unique & innovative bangers, my top picks are the Watermelon Drama Martini with a watermelon sorbet, & Glow On the highball. As a bartender, Bar Numéro made me start learning French on Duolingo just to work there someday. Big shoutout to our bartender Felix & the team. Can't wait to come back.
We had a disappointing experience despite having a reservation for a table.
When we arrived, there were empty tables available, but we were seated at the bar instead. We explained that we had specifically reserved a table, but the staff gave inconsistent explanations about why we couldn't be seated there. A few minutes later, the table we were told was unavailable was given to another couple, which left us feeling confused & undervalued as guests.
The lack of clear communication from the hosts & managers made the experience frustrating & disappointing.
On a positive note, the bartenders were fantastic, as always. They were friendly, attentive, & made excellent drinks. They are the main reason we keep coming back.
Unfortunately, our experience with the front-of-house staff on the evening of June 19 significantly impacted our visit.
(Review written after visiting on Thursday 30th April circa 9pm) This place left a sour taste in our mouths. Despite the very chic decor & ambient music, my partner & I felt rushed to quickly order a second round of drinks while we were still finishing our first round & taking in the atmosphere. They kept asking us every few minutes if we wanted another round & despite being one of the newest customers to arrive, & there still being space left, one of the bartenders just handed us the cheque without us even asking (ie effectively kicking us out). This was as we were discussing possibly getting a second round or maybe an appetiser. To be clear - we are a respectable young professional couple travelling from the UK & we didn't cause any disturbance. This was the first time at any establishment where we genuinely felt unwelcome. This ruined our evening - what a shame since we were initially very happy to be here. This place felt very snobbish, not genuinely classy.
As a self-proclaimed cocktail connoisseur, I've seen many bars open in this city. But Numéro has instantly claimed, in my opinion it's spot as one of the absolute best in Montréal. If you're looking for a very sophisticated, world-class experience in an intimate setting, well this new place is it!

We booked for 9 PM on a Saturday, & the place was electric-completely packed with a stylish crowd. The warm, moody lighting & minimalist design make it the perfect spot for a date night or a deep catch-up with close friends.
The Cocktails:
The drink menu here is exceptional. Each cocktail is a work of art, both in flavor profile & presentation.
• Precision & Flair: (See the video!) Watching the bartenders work is half the experience. The level of technique, from the rhythmic shaking to the precise garnishing is top-tier. I highly recommend to sit at the bar.
• Innovative Flavors: We tried several drinks, & the balance of ingredients was flawless. Whether you like something refreshing & bright or deep & complex, the execution is impeccable.

What truly sets Numéro apart is the service. Despite the bar being at capacity, the staff remained incredibly friendly & very attentive. I really loved all the high-end touches. I've got to admit that you are well taken care of from the moment you walk through the door!

Casual & curated snacks, effortlessly cool vibe, genuine service, but they really shined with unreal cocktails - as a very nerdy bartender this place is SPOT ON with what's up a coming with cocktail science in the most unique & in pretentious way. If I lived here this would be a go-to spot for me. 11/10.
I had such an incredible experience at this bar that I had to leave a review, even though I never write them. The vibes were amazing from the moment I walked in. Alex, the bartender, is truly exceptional. His attention to detail is on another level. My martini glass was already half?drank, & he still took the time to switch it into a perfectly chilled glass without me even asking. I work in the service industry & I've never had service like that. Absolutely outstanding. I'll definitely be back!
Numero should be called Numero 1!!! All jokes aside, this bar is very promising. As the co-owner of a cocktail page & amateur bartender (but professional drinker), I can whole-heartedly say that Numero has great potential to become a forerunner in mixology in Canada. Bringing us a cocktail list that we rarely see in the city, with avant-garde drinks & fresh innovation! Huge s/o to the team: Alex, Akash, Action Jackson, Kayila! I could be biased, but check it for yourself, they will treat you like friends, family & distinguished individuals.
