Such a lovely experience at George! We sat at the bar & ended up having the nicest evening. The service was wonderful, we were really well taken care of, & the cocktails were excellent. I tried a few from the menu, but the dirty martini was especially memorable. Beautiful atmosphere, great drinks & genuinely lovely service. Definitely a place I'd come back to when in Montreal.

Bar George is a beautiful bar with an amazing atmosphere & great drinks. We've gone several times, for drinks rather than food, & have had a great experience every time.

Very lovely intimate dinner spot. The interior is so regal & historic, making for a very opulent experience. All the staff are lovely from the moment you walk through the door, & our server was especially courteous & helpful. The drinks were pleasant & overall the food was delightful. Particular love for the beef wellington that simply cannot be skipped. The lobster risotto was a bit underwhelming ~ bland to be honest, though the lobster itself was soft & scrumptious. Octopus carpaccio also quite overstated & little flavour otherwise, but tender. Oysters were good - love the hot sauce! For the exorbitant price tag one might expect perfection but regardless it was wonderful to try it out knowing how beloved it is. We reserved but perhaps not even needed - only the patio was full.

Bar George is absolutely beautiful-the atmosphere, décor, & overall vibe make for a really nice dining experience. The service was friendly & attentive, & the food was well prepared & tasty. That said, we felt the value didn't quite match the price. We paid around $200 for two entrées & two drinks, & while everything was enjoyable, we left feeling that there are other restaurants in Montreal where you can get a more memorable meal for the same price. It's definitely worth visiting for the stunning setting, but if you're mainly going for the food, it may not offer the best value for the cost.

Really loved going for drinks & apps in the bar section with the girls.

The dirty martini I had was PERFECTION 🍸🫒 & the service was just excellent.

Absolutely recommend to visit while in Montreal.

Not worth the hype. Enjoyed the mushroom soup & beet salad. Was not impressed by beef Wellington nor the steak. Also there were bugs that kept flying into our drinks. Would not recommend.

If I can give the manager of special events zero star I would have. We called two weeks ago & discussed a private event for 30 people for July 10th, & after speaking with the manager we followed up with voice messages & emails to no avail. Today we called & she finally picked up the call, only to tell us this date is now not availble, & asked us to pick another date.
I don't recommend this place for anyone. Maybe just a drink at the bar.

Sat on the longue side & had a bit & a few drinks. The drinks are on the pricey side. Service was slow. Atmosphere was the reason why we booked a reservation.
