Not my best Korean restaurant, the food here is decent. I highly recommend the seafood udon, the dumplings & the soju drink.
The place is usually crowded so make a reservation in advance.View more
Food was ok, my favourite was the Tteokibokki. The shrimp on the Cajun udon was delicious, but the cream sauce wasn't my fave. Drink was ok. My boyfriend enjoy the Galbi & it was marinated well. Service was good, no complaints. Book reservations on the weekend as some people were turned away.View more
This used to be my fav place & I used to visit at least twice a month(sometimes more) but the new menu is not as good & they removed the best things from the existing menu God knows why! The salmon tank no longer exists & it was why I personally visit ! The tuna tataki is still good but they have changed that amazing salad beneath it & they removed the salmon udon which was the only non chili item & my son used to love it, now even when we order the chicken udon not spicy it still comes spicy for a kid. Anyway I request the return of the old menu! It's really not ok to do that, they went from amazing to average over nightView more
We went there for an extraordinary occasion, & the entire experience was ruined by the server's attitude the server spilled near-boiling hot udon soup onto my friend' thighs & didn't handle the situation properly, they just handed us napkins & the bare minimum apology (so). Even tho the whole soup was spilled, we weren't offered a replacement or compensation. When the supervisor came over, she was dismissive, saying "idk what else you guys need, the server is new, he already gave an apology". Her response was not only unprofessional, but also completely disrespectful & she showed no concern over my friend who got severely injured, & she showed no responsibility. My friend was injured-burned by your restaurant's negligence-& all you can say is "he apologized"? What kind of training do you give your staff? Where is the professionalism? Where is the basic human decency? A person is injured because of your restaurant's negligence, & that's your response? Unbelievable. The lack of empathy, accountability, & basic human decency is honestly shocking. This was hands down the worst dining experience I've ever had. I demand better, & frankly, I expect someone to make this right. Immediately.View more
The quality of certain dishes has diminished, like the pork belly & lamb skewers were dry unfortunately, the butter chicken udon was delicious 😋 Hope they can improve their quality like in the past.View more
Food was good, we were happy with our orders (bibimbap & udon) & I really liked the yogurt soju cocktail. My only critique would be the service as I asked for the bill & the server never brought it over so I just walked up to the register to pay.View more
Pretty full with all these. Love the salmon rice & the sweet potato fries 2nd time pork rib cream udon: love it but a bit of greasy if you don't like creamy things Chicken curry udon: my friend liked it 3rd time: Shrimp cream udon: the same taste of pork ribs one & the shrimps were great Strawberry bingsu: must take for sweet junkieView more
Definitely a great place to socialize & hang with friends before a night out. Food was great & it came out fast. Service was fast & friendly. I recommend reservations as it does get busy throughout the nights. I recommend the lobster udon as that was the most memorable & presentable.View more
Id go back! Friend chicken was bomb. Ask for spicy sauce. Don't get the udonView more

🍽Food: 5/5 📍Place: 5/5 🤵Service: 5/5 💵Price: 5/5 Excellent Korean cuisine, I was amazed by the flavor. The staff were very welcoming & even suggested certain dishes over others, which I didn't regret. I highly recommend trying the shrimp udon.View more
Really good selection of drinks (yogurt soju was amazing), the udon was said to be real good according to friends. The chicken rice thing I ordered (I forgot the name) was also very good. Service was nice & prompt.View more
One of my favourite restaurants in Montreal. Fun for date nights are night out with friends & not too expensive ! The udons are all delicious, the rosé tteokbokki is insane but the star of the show is the Salmon Tank !!!!! I always order it. Best raw salmon I've ever hadView more
It's definitely geared towards younger, uni students, but if you have a decent party & want a fun time out with your friends, I recommend this spot for some great fusion dishes, beers & soju. I definitely recommend the fried chicken, the bulgogi poutine & the udon dishes.View more
We went here around 5pm so we did not have to wait to be seated. The food was so good! This was my second time coming here & I recommend spicy seafood udon!View more
Attentive service. Creamy udon is highly recommended, I would come back for this one. However, the rosé tteokbokki left me feeling that I could make it better at home. Could consider replacing the sausage with fish cake to elevate the dish.View more
*UPDATED REVIEW*
Thursday October 12th 6:30 PM 2023 :
- Food (5/5) : I love coming to Bar Ganadara for their food because their prices are always fair. I always take any of the Udon Noodles & they are very good. As well as the Salmon Tank, Rose Tteokbokki, & Takoyaki.
- Service (2/5) : Food / Drinks arrive fast, but the service we get from the waiter/waitress is none existent. We always have to call them, to order more stuff. It is quite annoying.
- Atmosphere (3/5) : Very loud music, it’s hard to understand each other. Very dark light. Great bar ambiance for group of friends, but would not bring a date here for instance.
Overall, I’ve been coming to Bar Ganadara since before Covid-19, & I’ve never been disappointed in their food. However, the service has been lacking recently (3/5).

Wednesday July 7th 5:30 PM 2021 — One of my favourite place to hang out with my friends. Used to be the place I hung out the most before Covid-19. It is my number 1 go to if I’m looking for a place with cheap & delicious food, & great drinks.
Food is amazing & prices are right. Drinks & Soju are tasty. The Shrimps / Pork Udon are good & the Yogurt Soju as well. However, my friends & I were very disappointed to see that they removed the Mango Bingsu from their Menu. It used to be our favourite dessert.
The only thing that bothered us is the fact we were in a rush to order our food & eat by our waitress since we only had the table for 2 hours.
Overall, still one of my favourite place (5/5)!View more
everything was sooo good!!! I didn’t get a picture but the butter chicken udon is to die for. I would literally have it for breakfast lunch & dinner everyday if I could 😩View more
This is my favourite restaurant in Montreal! Awesome atmosphere for a group dinner or date. Everything is sooo tasty, especially, the creamy pork udon (it's the best udon) & the tteokbokki. I'd highly recommend the yogurt soju cocktail :)
Also highlyyy recco the bibimbap (make sure to scrape the burnt rice it adds a nice crunch… seriously)
The Rose Tteokbokki is SO good. So is the gimari
Instagram DM a few days in advance for a reservation.
Expect kinda sassy service... it's part of their "too cool for you" restaurant vibe lolView more
