Bar Bisou Bisou is described as a standout cocktail destination with inventive, well balanced drinks and a deep menu of unique spirits and fortified wines, paired with a friendly, knowledgeable staff that guides guests through tasting experiences in a cozy, intimate space with great music. The vibe is often noted as vibey and speakeasy like, making conversation easy while the bar feels casual but stylish and the service is attentive and welcoming. Food options are described as limited or secondary to the drinks, with small plates that are tasty but not always exceptional, though some bites pair well with the cocktails. Overall, reviews converge on Bar Bisou Bisou as a must visit for cocktail lovers and a hidden gem, valued for its creativity and presentation, even if prices run higher and peak nights can bring delays.
The service was top-notch. Our waiter walked my wife & adult daughter through a fantastic vermouth tasting linked to regions in Spain. Amazing cocktails. Cool vibe. Will return.

December 2025: had an off menu creation & it was great, staff was super welcoming & gave me recommendations for an upcoming trip.
August 2025: changed their menu a bit. Hydra & Panier were pretty well balanced, same cool vibe & friendly staff.
September 2024: Watermark was smooth. Friendly, attentive service. Music was disco vibes.
June 2024: Pluto was a great cocktail. The BBtini was smooth. Friendly service from Rob. Great music once again.
July 2023: Friendly service. Great cocktails in the nouveau départ, Babylon slide, & stone flower. Food was delicious & surprisingly filling, got the cheese plate & the Rillette de porc. Nice decor & fun mix of music.
Vibey cocktail bar in the Old Port. Cocktail menu was very descriptive, the charcuterie was delicious & the owner was our server. He was very chill & attentive. Even though it was busy & they were getting ready for an event, there was no pressure to finish up early.
Fantastic cocktail bar specializing in low(er) abv drinks. Really delicious, awesome vibe, & great merch. Who knew sherry-based drinks could be so delicious??? Do not miss - a great antidote to all the touristy stuff nearby.
Our bartender (Yousef) made our evening very enjoyable. very attentive, easy going & knowlegeable.
Ambience has a very chill vibe which we loved. The Coldroom, which I believe is owned by the same company, is nice, but more crowded & cramped. Bisou Bisou is a hidden gem. We felt very welcomed, & was a great way to end our week long vacation to Quebec city & Montreal. Hope to come back. Try the Stone fruit cocktail, & reverse manhattan.

Atmosphere: 8.5/10
Located in Old Montreal's lively nightlife district, Bisou Bisou is a spacious basement bar with a wide mix of seating options - from bar stools to larger group tables. The vibe is casual but stylish, with playful art featuring alcohol-inspired themes that seem to echo late'80s or early'90s aesthetics. Design details like exposed brick & tiled walls add warmth. Music volume is well-balanced, making it a comfortable place to talk.
Drinks: 8/10
Recommendation: Le Petit Éléphant
The menu leans into lighter spirits & lower ABV cocktails - it's a clear concept that's even mentioned up front. Each drink comes with detailed notes on flavor, ingredients, glassware, & alcohol percentage, which makes it fun & easy to navigate. Flavors are relatively balanced. Above-average glassware, nice coasters, & good presentation round it out.
Service: 7.5/10
Water was served on arrival. The team is friendly & attentive, but the bar feels lightly understaffed for its size - expect some delays on orders, especially when it's busy. Prices are average for Montreal & feel fair for what's offered.
The bar is downstairs, nice quiet vibe, Lots of old stone, comfy banquets to sit on. You can hear yourself talk. Very attentive service. The drinks were good, a nice selection, the charcuterie board was fantastic Thank you Grace!
The most delightful & cozy location...great music, vibes, drinks, & the kindest most welcoming staff...best dirty martini in Canada! Thank you for the wonderful reception & experience...it was appreciated beyond measure!
Cute basement bar with very good vibes, creative & super tasty drinks. The waiter we had was beyond kind - allowing us to sample & explain the choices prior to ordering their Sherry.
Incredible menu. Cocktails beat expectation. Staff is great. Awesome vibe. Very special shout out to Yousef. This gentleman is in contention for the most talented bartender to grace the North American continent. This is not hyperbole. Not only did he make us the best cocktails of our trip, but he provided some excellent recommendations in the city & added to our weekend in a very special way. This is a must visit bar in Montreal & I say that because Yousef works here.
So we initially wanted to go to the cold room but the wait list was 30 min in -20°C so the hostess told us about Bisou Bisou being a sister bar that we could wait while they texted us to let us in. Super cozy vibe, really interesting drinks. We ended up staying at Bisou Bisou as we had more room to drink & chat.
Great service, they were attentive & quick to our needs. The bartenders were very informed & professional & catered to our specific tastes with excellent recommendations. The titamisu shot was a great recommendation. We did not have food, but the cocktails were very refined. I got the Babylon Flip & the Petit Elephant, both of which were delicious. Pricey, but well worth it for the ambience & service. The venue is underground, similar vibe to a Speakeasy. I would go back anytime
