I love the place sooo good & tasty prices is so good the service is amazing we waited long for the food but it's worth it believe me guys & I loved the owner dress was so cute black & white I don't know her name but she's so cute beautiful Greek goddess I love he
Octopus was delicious, lamb chops as well, the side veggies were bland, the service was rough & very very slow, I also really didn't appreciate getting our group awkwardly getting appetizers at different moments (say 10-15 minutes apart), they also forgot one of our appetizers. All in all, I think the food is good, but service & lack of atmosphere (no music) makes it a less enjoyable experience. Oh it's also very pricey. Fried calamari is mid & the grilled calamari as well. It was our friends birthday & service was so bad that they never came to get our dessert order, all in all dinner took forever because of bad service. Also to be noted that one of the servers said X wine my friend wanted was "disgusting", but it's their wine list...
Rapport qualité / prix: déficient. C'est bon, la cuisson des viandes est touours bonne. Mais 52$ pour 4 côtelettes d'agneau , très bonnes par ailleurs, & des légumes bouillis, that is it ? Pas assez bon pour le prix. 200$ 2 personnes( dont une mangeant des pâtes). Notons que le serveur n'a pas rempli une seule fois notre verre sur une bouteille de vin.

The waitress was awesome, but the grilled fish was really overcooked. Even Bob the boss came to that sad conclusion when he saw the plate... but that was the end of it.
Ridiculously good fish. Even for Canadian fresh fish standards. Simply virtuosic cooking. The quality of the food outshines the atmosphere & the service, however the atmosphere & service are the best that I have experienced in Canada!!! Simply the best restaurant I have been to in Montreal.
What they don't mention is that the kitchen is closed between 3 to 4 pm. It's getting ready for night shift . The salads are amazing , the main course is good but don't order the Salmon it's too greasy . Wines are good. I always feel good when the owner is involved & gives instructions to their staff while helping with the running of the place which was the case
Outstanding Greek food, when I was there last the Canadian & Greek Prime Ministers where there. This is a Greek restaurant that the Canadian PM brings the Greek PM to when he is in Montreal. Can't get a better recommedation than that!
C'était notre 3ème visite chez Balos. Les deux fois précédentes, nous avions été déçus: Loup de mer trop cuit qui avait traîné sous les réchauds, miettes de calmars grillés qui baignaient dans l'huile avec de la laitue défraîchie dans une mer de vinaigrette. Nous avons décidé de donner une dernière chance à ce restaurant ce soir & avons été grandement impressionnés! Le repas grec était sans faute, tout était savoureux & à point. Notre serveur était aux petits soins avec nous & il parlait un français très correct! En somme nous avons passé une excellente soirée & nous avons hâte de revenir chez Balos!
Very good Greek food! In terms of comparing it to other montreal high end Greek restaurants, it is cheaper than milos & still great quality. It's comprenable to Lezvos Greek restaurant which used to be a staple open on decarie. Friendly staff & easy, tasty food.
Had the worst experience ever !!!! When my food arrived it tasted like store bought sauce with bad spices. I told them I couldn't eat this ( I NEVER do this ). The waitress tells me no problem do you want something else we won't charge you for this plate. My bill arrived & they charged me for the food I didn't touch when they had said they wouldn't ! I argued that if I would have been charged I would have taken it home to my husband . So they then brought me 3 shrimps in a container & charged me half the price. I don't know where that food came from an hour had passed! They have the same prices has Milos but are so far from the quality of their food. We were all in choc!!!! NEVER go there
