This dazzling Greek neighborhood restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with genuine warmth & exceptional service that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The atmosphere is lively yet intimate, with that perfect balance of energy & comfort.
The food is truly wonderful. Fresh ingredients, bold Mediterranean flavors, & beautifully prepared dishes that feel both authentic & generous. From the appetizers to the mains, everything is thoughtfully crafted & full of flavor. It's the kind of place where you linger over your meal, share plates, & already plan your next visit before dessert arrives. A standout spot that delivers on every level.
Very nice restaurant, service is good, food is amazing! Lunch menu is diverse & well-priced.
Med Seabass with lemon potatoes was fantastic, Greek salad very fresh, & the owner is always present & look out for her guests.
I highly recommend this place for authentic, delicious Greek food!

Incredible experience at BALOS. We were a group of 6 & were accommodated with such a warm welcome. Our host was so kind, recommended such incredible choices for a group & was so, so kind. Every dish was so fresh, portions were generous & the quality was superb. Looking forward to going back! This restaurant is a great option for a group, or for a semi-formal date night out.
As a guest of my investment advisor, his choice on restaurants are more risk free than parts of my portfolio.
Crowd viewing through the restaurants to rooms,I felt like it could have been like the audience at a reform synagogue on a Friday down.
Ushered to a primo table in the corner, my adviser ordered a plate of octopus & fried squid to go with a Greek salad. Both seafood plates were outstanding, fresh nicely spiced & invisibly battered in the case of the calamares & an output from the restaurants owner after years as the head chef at Milos. A beer(IPA) & a uniquely hot & tasty capuccino & too much talk on my part were the sundries to a wonderful enjoyable evening.

Great experience overall. The service was great, they were attentive & on point from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavourful, & clearly made with quality ingredients. It is on the pricier side, but the level of service & the quality of the food made it worth it.

Pretty place, nice atmosphere. Waitress was excellent & provided great wine recommendations. Food was pretty mediocre though. The fried calamari was very basic for that price. Served with the typical marinara sauce. Not super crispy or seasoned. The sea bass was alright but overpriced for what it was. Side vegetables (carrots, broccoli, & two others) were just boiled, no seasoning. Boiled potatoes were well seasoned at least. Complimentary walnut cake was dry, didn't really seem fresh at all.
Ridiculously good fish. Even for Canadian fresh fish standards. Simply virtuosic cooking. The quality of the food outshines the atmosphere & the service, however the atmosphere & service are the best that I have experienced in Canada!!! Simply the best restaurant I have been to in Montreal.
