Portion does not justify the price for the Pho. Taste blend, noodle just thick flat spaghetti. Broth tastes like those Pho cubes from stores. I never expect to eat pho in a restaurant smells curries😂? anyways service was great
Première visite au Baan Lao & certainement pas la dernière ! C'est le seul resto à Montréal que je sache à proposer des pho halal, & franchement, c'était une belle découverte.
La soupe pho au boeuf était savoureuse & bien équilibrée, avec un bouillon riche & parfumé comme il faut. On a aussi pris des brochettes glacées pour notre enfant de 2 ans, il a adoré - c'était tendre, goûteux, parfait pour les petits comme les grands.
Quand au service ,c'etait chaleureux, ambiance agréable, & surtout un menu asiatique 100 % halal, ce qui est rare à Montréal.
Je recommande vivement Baan Lao, surtout si vous êtes dans le coin de Pointe-Saint-Charles.
À notre arrivée, une famille monopolisait l'attention du serveur, ce qui a causé un délai d'environ 10 minutes avant qu'on puisse passer notre commande.
J'ai choisi le combo pour deux. En entrée, les rouleaux de printemps au poulet étaient très bons, tout comme la petite sauce qui les accompagnait. En revanche, les brochettes d'agneau semblaient trop cuites : la viande était sèche & dure.
Pour le plat principal, le bánh mì au poulet était décevant. Il y avait beaucoup trop de pain comparativement à la quantité de garniture, & le poulet était fade, sans goût distinctif.
Les prix sont raisonnables & le serveur faisait de son mieux malgré l'achalandage, mais l'expérience globale n'a pas été à la hauteur de mes attentes.
Nous avons pris le combo pour deux. L'entrée était bonne, mais les banh ni étaient assez ordinaires, avec beaucoup trop de pain & un poulet sans réel goût. Le service était sympathique, mais désorganisé. Aussi, les boissons gazeuses sont de marque Sélection - un choix qui ne plaira pas à tout le monde.
The food was well-presented, quick, & tasty with a variety of options. The dishes are flavorful, & the service is efficient, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality food without a long wait!
The food was amazing. The beef skewers were fantastic, & the pho, both chicken & beef, were superb & truly tasted authentic, even down to having bean sprouts & basil for garnish. I love that they serve Salaam Cola! One of the co-owners was working front of house & was very kind, & the service was 110%
I wish this business could branch out to all provinces. When in Montreal, this place is a must, regardless of if you eat halal or not.

The owner is very humble. Tasty food. The service was prompt & friendly, & the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend for a casual yet refined dining experience!
Just want to highlight the fact that they are the ONLY 100% halal vietnamese restaurant in CANADA 🫡 & they are amazing. Highly recommend to anyone looking fkr good food, cozy & respectful atmosphere with great service & staff.
