Avesta offers a warm, cozy Turkish dining experience in downtown Montreal with fresh bread baked on site and a menu full of authentic flavors. The atmosphere is welcoming, and service is attentive and friendly. Dishes arrive in generous portions at good value, with mezze, kebabs, manti and other classics described as flavorful and comforting. The bread and dips are standout, the grilled meats tender, and ingredients feel fresh. Desserts like baklava and kunefe are praised for balance. The spot suits families, friends, and celebrations, and many leave eager to return for the same high quality and warm hospitality.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Avesta, & it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely fantastic, with rich flavors & authentic Turkish dishes that left me wanting more. The live performances added so much energy & charm to the evening, perfectly complementing the vibrant atmosphere. On top of that, the service was amazing-attentive, friendly, & ensured everything was perfect. Avesta is a must-visit for anyone looking for incredible food & a memorable dining experience!
The food was okay. The chicken/beef kebab, eskender, muhammara, all tasted pretty bland. The only main dish I liked was the manti. For dessert, the knefeh was good & we enjoyed the Turkish tea.

Food was good but not enough meat on their main courses. You only get one kafta kebab when your order a plate. Also turkish food usually comes with Bulgar wheat not rice with chick peas. Overall very good but at this price point you need to give clients for meat. Thank you!
Simple, tasty, & small cozy restaurant that serves authentic Turkish dishes. We ordered: beef Gözleme, Sadj Lamb, Avesta salad & the best of the best, Manti. All super fresh & served very quickly. We ended the night with an authentic Turkish tea. I would definitely come back to try other dishes.
If you're familiar with Turkish cuisine & have a strong craving for it, it's best to avoid this place because they serve a modified version of Turkish food. I ordered an iskender which is my favorite & I barely recognized the dish when it was served. The meat was thick & firm, there's salad next to it which has no business being there, no grilled tomato & chili, & no trace of butter. Dare I say that it's the worst iskender I had so far. It's much more disappointing because the waiter told us that their chef is Turkish. Aside from that, this place is quite overpriced & you're definitely not getting your money's worth. Great location, ambiance, & okay servers but the food missed the mark big time. Take some time to see the reviews from Turkish people who have been here.
Turkish food, several times I went there from the first time i came to Montreal, i ❤️ the bread that they make it there traditional way, Muhammara & borek 😋 & lamb shank 😍, i still love the food but i think before was more tasty. 🍷

I'm familiar with Turkish cuisine & this restaurant serves nice tasteful authentic Turkish food. You wouldn't go wrong with any items in there menu... All are tasteful full of flavor perfectly & generously served. Appetizer, salads, grills & pide all were great. Asal who served us is a nice, respectful & professional staff. Keep up the good quality & service 👍👍
We were surprised to come across a Turkish Restaurant in Montreal, which we visited from New York. All the food was delicious. They sent us off very satisfied with their friendly customer service. A place we would definitely recommend. We will come back if we pass by here again. Thank you for everything.
ordered a take out dinner, & it was absolutely amazing, never had turkish food like this it was so good, the lamb shank was cooked to perfection. can't wait to come & dine-in when im back in town!
If you're looking for an authentic turkish experience, Avesta is the best in Montreal. They even started live music on certain days & they're adding vegetarian menu options. The owner & staff are so kind & welcoming! We ordered Saj Kavurma & Adana kebab as well as gozleme ... 5 stars for sure!
This Turkish restaurant exceeded my expectations! The service was impeccable, the atmosphere authentically decorated, & the food, especially the Tavuk Kebab, Iskender, & Sarma appetizer, was simply delicious. Highly recommended for a delightful culinary experience!
First time & it was wonderful. I had the spinach & feta grilled sandwich made in front of establishment with salad. Portions were huge & brought half of meal home. The Turkish tea provided for free was delicious. Loved the whole experience & employees are lovely. Noted that other clients were also asking for take out containers since portions are substantial. Can't wait to return. Thank you,
They have delicious Turkish food in downtown. Specially their Lambs. Only negative impression is that sometimes their Revani is 3-4 days old & dry. I would recommend not to sell it when it is old. It damages your reputation
