Je m'attendais à une cuisine meilleure que ça. La soupe aux lentilles, je ne l'ai pas aimée du tout : elle était acide & on aurait dit qu'elle était faite à partir de conserves. J'en ai déjà mangé de bien meilleures dans des restaurants plus simples.
Les apéritifs aussi donnaient l'impression d'être faits à partir de conserves : assez acides & pas très savoureux.
Pour le plat principal, les Manti : la viande était un peu sèche & manquait de saveur. Par contre, le Gozleme était vraiment bonne. Le pain pita qu'ils font sur place, je l'ai trouvé un peu amer.
Bref, ça ne m'a pas vraiment impressionnée. On n'a pas été très satisfaits de la cuisine.
Delisicous Turkish food, with great service. We did a family style thing for a birthday (9 of us) & had a feast! The food is absolutely delicious, not a single thing was left uneaten. We were all impressed with the bread, which is made fresh on the spot by one of the employees who makes them at the storefront. Can't go wrong with any of the köfte or manti. The pepper spread was also to die for.

Went with my dad on Monday & we took the Sadj Kavurma (beef) & the Manti. We also took the Lentil soup & it was soooo good. The portions were really big & worth the price. The service was excellent & the ambience was really good.
Would 100% recommend to anyone who likes Turkish food or wants to discover this cuisine.
This is must try one of my favorite restaurants for Turkish food in Downtown Montreal again! I can't wait to order the chicken plate, manti, & filet mignon because everything was incredible the last time. I'm already recommending this spot to friends for our next outing! Manti was so good 👍

This restaurant becomes one of favourite Turkish place. The food was awesome, I had Sadj Kavurma, & my friend got Manti. We also both got Turkish tea & they were all delicious!! We also ended our day with Künefe, a dessert with cheese, pistachio & syrup. Everything there was amazing & was freshly made. We also observed how Manti was made by hand! I'd recommend everyone to come try this place out if you would like to try Turkish food. The atmosphere is cozy & friendly, beautiful decorations!

The food was okay. The chicken/beef kebab, eskender, muhammara, all tasted pretty bland. The only main dish I liked was the manti. For dessert, the knefeh was good & we enjoyed the Turkish tea.
Simple, tasty, & small cozy restaurant that serves authentic Turkish dishes. We ordered: beef Gözleme, Sadj Lamb, Avesta salad & the best of the best, Manti. All super fresh & served very quickly. We ended the night with an authentic Turkish tea. I would definitely come back to try other dishes.
I Uber ordered. The food was way below expectations. All the reviews were raving about the Manti. It was really a very boring dish, just yogurt & dumplings. Nothing worth $28! I would not pay $10 for it. The rest of the food was also very average & overpriced for the value. Would not recommend.

The atmosphere is pretty ok, the place looks good & it's in a very convenient location so can't complain about that. The service was good, considering it was late so they were most likely tired but it was quite nice & okay. Smiley, Joyful, good vibes all around. Now for the food though...Let me tell you this is not what I was expecting. The meat was dry & the Bulgur was honestly really bad. There was way too much Yougourt in the Manti & the meat dumpling was just such an odd food.
Très bel endroit, chaleureux, superbes nappes, objets décoratifs rappelant la Turquie. Service courtois. Mezzes: très bonnes feuilles de vignes avec yogourt savoureux, humus ok, mouhamara ordinaire. Kebab-viandes bien marinés, gouteux & pain délicieux toutefois, accompagnements (salade de chou rouge au persil, riz & légumes) fades & sans aucun arôme, décevant pour ce type de cuisine si parfumée habituellement. Le pire étant le riz vraiment raté. Lahmacun ok sans plus, encore ici, manque de goût. Un endroit tout de même unique à Montreal qui gagnerait à s'élever mais qui vaut le détour pour son caractère unique. Une dame façonne des mantis (pâtes farcies) à la main à l'avant du restaurant. On reviendra pour les sandwichs qui semblent très populaires.
Came here in 2018 & in 2023 & its the same amazing quality. Highly recommend their fresh Manti it was full of flavor & a great portion. The ambiance & vibe is very nice for a dinner. Their Sarma & Koz Patlican is very delicious as apps & their Lahmacun also tastes amazing. Lots of flavors & options in their menu for a good price. I also recommend their Kunefe as well it is the best dessert! Overall its a great play to eat for a date, with friends, & with family with lots of options & flavor.
I've been coming here since I was a student at Concordia about 10 years ago. I love coming here since the food is so homey & full of flavour. I always order the manti & the funefe dessert. This time we also got some mezzes that consisted of dolma, borek & muhamara. They were good but not the best I've had. They just had a customer for life. I would keep coming back for more.

The meals were pretty good. But the price performance was not good at all. It got pretty expensive. No appetizers came to the table. The some of employees are very kind ( not at all) but since it is defined as a Turkish Restaurant, at least one person should be able to welcome in Turkish. The gozleme were pretty good. so is manti. lahmacun was above average. The shank was very tasty. But there was no salad & appetizer bread on the table. I gave a good score because I'm supporting hard workers effort. But they have many improving part.
I absolutely love Avesta’s homey atmosphere. It somehow ‘takes’ me to Turkey :) Their food is always fresh & super delicious. Lots of variety too. Their hummus mezze, bourek, lentil soup, etc or the gozleme, manti & other dishes are really good! I strongly recommend Avesta
