Personally I wasn't a fan of the beer . It all had the same aftertaste that I didn't really love . Service was decent & the place is really big but seemed pretty quiet for a Friday . Glad I visited but probably wouldn't return
Delicious food, great beer, & pleasant staff & customers
Great place to relax & have a beer brewed on site. Really great!
Brasserie Avant-Garde on Hochelaga Street is a fantastic spot. The beer selection was awesome with plenty of unique & flavorful options to try. I really liked that you can also buy cans on the spot to bring home or give as a gift.
I picked some up for a friend's birthday & they absolutely loved it. Great atmosphere, great beer, & a cool place to support local. I'll definitely be back.
Amazing beers!
Amazing pizza!
The fries à Fernand, oh my god delicious!
Great service & management!
A beautiful spot in HoMa!
We really wanted to love this place. It's really close to our home & the idea of artisan beer & napolitan style pizza is great business concept.
The beers that we had were had great flavour & the selection was vast.
Unfortunately, the pizzas were very dissapointing & came up short. We've been there several times now & had the same experience both times. The problem with the pizzas are that they are charred & burnt. As a result, the sauce & toppings are overshadowed by a burnt pizza flavor. We observed other customers who had ordered pizza as well having the bottom of their pizza burnt. Would not come back for the pizzas, if they can improve the pizza, I think this place would be a hit.
Visited on August 10, 2019, in the afternoon. Located in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, just south-east of the Olympic Stadium, in a large building housing many business. Little history, at one time they were associated with Oshlag & they were both owned by Groupe Glutengerg, but they just recently became independent & have associated with Jukebox, ironically Avant-Garde & Glutengerg are in different parts of the same building (also not the same addres). Their spot is at the north-west part of the building, with its own parking. The inside, what was a former bingo hall, is a mix of 60's 21th century decor, plenty of tables & chairs, but the bar has no seats. The have a large window overlooking the brewery room & they have a Nintendo 64. They offer their own & Jukebox, in 3 oz tasters, 16 oz & 10 oz for extra strong or small batch, what they have is very good & well brewed. You can buy cans to go, they do have (but not that day) some rare stuff. Food is very limited, snack mostly. Very good service. A welcome addition to a very small beer scene in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve!
Foccachia was amazing but nothing beats there beer selection!!
Pizza is amazing, recommend the rouge framboise beer.
This is probably the best place for artisanal pizzas in the east of Montreal, & while the menu is not too big their home+brewed beer offering is huge & exquisite. Go for a "Fille de la forêt pizza" & a "Tout est chill" beer.
Bossa Nova pizza & the Italian Pilsner beer was a great combo. Went on Saturday afternoon so it was pretty quiet. The waiter was smiling & helpful. Some chairs are ripped & some of the walls have footprints on them, so not the cleanest. But food & drinks & service was good. Everyone coming in afterwards looked confused as to which door to use tho.
Best beer in Montreal! Pizza is delish as well. Winning combo, makes up for the lack of the rest. Will go again.
A true brewery. MANY great beer selections, great patio & huge bay doors that open in the summer. If the food menu was a little more extensive it would be absolutely perfect. The food they do have is very good
Good selection of craft beer & fire oven pizza was delicious! I liked how the crust was soft because I normally don't eat thick crust. A great location to hangout before or after a game at the stadium.
