The McGowan Inn opens its doors to a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a bar, where you can enjoy a drink or a good coffee. The adjoining dining room, completely glazed, and the large terrace offer a magnificent view of Lake Memphremagog. The Inn also offers a private room that can accommodate a group of 12 people for a meeting or for a meal taken in complete privacy.
Local products are featured, including fine herbs from the Inn's garden and organic vegetables from the Jardin du Quartier, which holds a farmers' market on Saturdays in Georgeville.

L'entrée de philo, le plat de flétan, l'assiette de cerf, les gâteaux aux carottes & opéra étaient excellents tant dans la présentation, le goût & la recherche culinaire. Petit bémol pour la soupe aux champignons qui manquait de consistance & légèrement de goût. Peux-être qu'une cuillerée de crème épaisse ou de crème sûre au milieu serait une suggestion? De même, la salade d'asperges en entrée demanderait à être retravaillée. Là aussi, portion trop frugale & la vinaigrette manque de punch.
À noter que nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre souper & le service. Merci

We had friends from out of town & the music was so loud, we could not hear each other talk. That is my only criticism. The atmosphere was beautiful. We got the table by the window. The food was fabulous,especially the gnocchi

C'est toujours un plaisir de venir manger à l'auberge,cependant,nous avons remarqué hier une diminution des portions,notamment dans l'entrée de pétoncles & celle du foie gras.
C'est bien dommage...la prochaine fois,j'hésiterai à les reprendre.

The new Auberge ‘cGowan has no soul, the menu is just plain weird, pizza, lamb it just doesn't make any sense. The food is just OK not at all inspiring. It is like you don't know who you are , the place looks very classy & upscale BUT the food is NOT or menu selection.
It is the country should you not offer more local seasonal selections not fancy but great? Lunch you do a better job on menu.
Don't try to make it stuffy , people want to relax enjoy good food & enjoy the views etc etc.
I hope this helps because it just isn't working well right now.

Pour un restaurant de cette envergure & avec les prix demandés pour la nourriture, le service aurait pu être meilleur avec une description de chaque plat servi, ce qui ne prend pas tant de temps & ca aurait grandement été apprécié.

As usual calamari was excellent! I always order the veal liver salad with the goat cheese. Unfortunately my last visit the liver was very undercooked & not edible. The terrace was packed & I didn't want to bother our server. I will still come back however.

J'ai donné des 5 étoiles pour l'ensemble des points demandés, mais je vais apportez un petit point à corriger- enlever les mouches mortes près des fenêtres & les files d'araignées - un si belle endroit demande une constance pour son image. Je vais venir encore à votre établissement, car j'aime votre endroit.
