The McGowan Inn opens its doors to a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a bar, where you can enjoy a drink or a good coffee. The adjoining dining room, completely glazed, and the large terrace offer a magnificent view of Lake Memphremagog. The Inn also offers a private room that can accommodate a group of 12 people for a meeting or for a meal taken in complete privacy.
Local products are featured, including fine herbs from the Inn's garden and organic vegetables from the Jardin du Quartier, which holds a farmers' market on Saturdays in Georgeville.

Our friends dined with us Saturday night at Auberge McGowan. We were delighted by the design of the property, lobby & dining room. It is stylish & fresh without feeling pretentious. It was dark when we arrived, but we could see light reflecting off the lake from our table. Even though the atmosphere was amazing, the food was even better. Auberge McGowan served four courses of outstanding & very delicious dishes. We enjoyed every tasty morsel. We all agreed that we will look forward to our next dining experience there. I had lunch with my husband & friend on Friday. We were so pleased with the whole experience! The setting was beautiful with a view of the lake & the restaurant was quiet. So happy there was no loud music playing as some of us have hearing issues. We were able to enjoy our conversations. Thank you! The food was delicious with 2 having the fish & chips (beautiful piece of cod with a light crisp batter) & I had the gnocchi with wild mushrooms, peas & pancetta. Excellent! With a glass of wine it was the perfect lunch. This is the third time since July that my husband & I have brought friends & dined at Auberge McGowan. Un détour qui a su me charmer par ce site impressionnant à la fois historique. Ce bâtiment a été bien restauré avec un décor majestueux surtout un accueil chaleureux offrant une ambiance apaisante. Unfortunately must revise my review after years of dining at the Inn as a result of finally staying there. It seems for such a small inn there's a lack of communication & poorly run administration & service. The inn attempted to charge for more nights then actually stayed, need to show them evidence of the date called to confirm the reservation. Then after requesting that they prepare the sofa bed from my children to sleep in as we were arriving back late after a wedding, coming back to the room quite late to find it was not done. & there was no linen in the room to do it myself. A single kitchen staff member still onsite cleaning provided some linen. This was completely unacceptable for an inn of this caliber. I requested that the Manager call be back to discuss this when speaking to staff, & that call never came. The lack of accountability an unprofessionalism seems to be consistent. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. As for the restaurant, great spot for lunch with a great view of the lake. We've been here many times throughout the summer & it's always just as charming as Georgeville itselfView more

La restauration n'est absolument pas à la hauteur de ce qu'annonce l'auberge. Je suis allé pour le petit déjeuner avec une amie. Elle se fait dire que dans son plan le bacon ou saucisse peuvent être éliminer du plat mais ne peut être substitué par quoi que ce soit. Pour moi, une des pires omelettes à vie. (Surcuite, aucun lien entre les ingrédients & l'omelette elle même.) bacon aussi rigide qu'une planche de bois. Belle vue oui, mais elle est aussi belle de la route.View more

Had a great supper at McGowan House. Location is amazing, ate outside on their amazing deck. Food was perfect, we had food Gras, pizza as well as the Moules & fries. Wow, highly recommended. Service was friendly & very efficientView more
