The McGowan Inn opens its doors to a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a bar, where you can enjoy a drink or a good coffee. The adjoining dining room, completely glazed, and the large terrace offer a magnificent view of Lake Memphremagog. The Inn also offers a private room that can accommodate a group of 12 people for a meeting or for a meal taken in complete privacy.
Local products are featured, including fine herbs from the Inn's garden and organic vegetables from the Jardin du Quartier, which holds a farmers' market on Saturdays in Georgeville.

For the restaurant - I come here every year! Great spot to grab lunch on a sunny day. Right by the water so you're very likely to get a nice breeze if you sit on the terrace. The calamari is always a hit, they often change up the mains, I have always enjoyed the items that I've ordered.View more

I loved the renovations & the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the portions were very small (watermelon salad that was about 19$ literally had maybe 6-7 small cubes of watermelon) for the price.View more

Restaurant: only choice was Indian food because it was Tuesday despite having a varied menu for the rest of the week. Food was not authentic Indian. Butter chicken was dry & not cooked in the sauce, lamb was over cooked. Dessert was not great. Having been here on many other occasions in previous years, I was very disappointed.View more

No longer the much loved, charming old fishing pourvoirie that it used to be, The McGowan House has morphed into an exquisite restaurant & boutique hotel of fine taste. Rebuilt with deference to its patrimoine britanique du Quebec its style reflects the architecture of this very special historical village.

We celebrated our son's 18th birthday & had a lovely dinner in the Inn. Although we did not stay over, the restaurant & bar were beautiful, & the service was great. I hope to return in the summer when we can experience more of the view.View more

I have been to pub night at the Auberge a few times & enjoyed each one but last night. Instead of moist, plump fish served in a light batter as usual, my fish was in dry clumps & the batter was actually burnt. Very disappointing.
My three companions has burgers (which again are usually very good) but these seemed overcooked as well.)
I will of course give them another try but that would be it...
Normally the food is quite good so I am hopeful.
