Taken together, reviews portray Arte & Farina as a bright, cozy Italian bakery and cafe with a strong focus on authentic pastries and high quality ingredients. The panettone is repeatedly praised for being light and flavorful, with several tasters calling it among the best in the city, and the desserts such as bomboloni and tiramisu are noted as standout items. The coffee and espresso are described as solid, and the Margherita pizza is praised for its flavorful topping and perfect crust, while the porchetta sandwich on focaccia with a zesty pickled spread also gets compliments. The atmosphere is described as pleasant and welcoming with Italian music and ample natural light, ideal for a casual bite, a coffee break, or a relaxed brunch. Service receives mixed marks: many reviewers find it friendly and helpful, while a few report inconsistent attentiveness, especially when the cafe is quiet or busy, and there are occasional critiques about price, limited lunch options, or items that do not meet expectations.
Arte & Farina is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Italian bakery & café fare.
The menu is a dream for pastry lovers, featuring standout items like bomboloni (Italian doughnuts filled with custard or Nutella), Roman-style pizzas, & focaccia sandwiches-especially the porchetta, served on fresh focaccia with a zesty pickled spread.
The service is friendly, quick, & informative, making you feel right at home. The café's ambiance is perfect for a relaxed brunch, a coffee break, or picking up some artisanal Italian products for your pantry.
Overall, Arte & Farina is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of Italy in Montreal. Whether you're in the mood for a sweet treat, a savory sandwich, or simply a cozy spot to enjoy a coffee, this place delivers with passion & authenticity.
Porchetta sandwich is delicious. It's served on a delicious focaccia bread & a pickled spread $15. Juicy, tender, sumptuous but a tad messy to eat. Get extra napkins! Only available on Sunday (or weekends - I forgot what he said). The pizzas looked good as well - next time.
Service is informative & friendly. Lots of other curated Italian products for the pantry.

If you're looking for a spot with good music & good vibes in The Village, this is the place. Plenty of seating, lots of natural light, & water & bathrooms for customers. It's also one of the few places I've been to with a manual espresso machine, which adds a nice touch. The staff is friendly as well. I would say it is pricier than other cafes but not by much.
The person serving at the counter had nothing to offer me that didn't have
cheese, for lunch?
Total lack of customer service.
I had to have dessert that didn't contain cheese in stead for lunch☹?.Pathetic....
Arte & Farina is an excellent place for Sunday brunch. The food & coffee are across the board 👌 amazing! A lovely more sophisticated restaurant to relax & enjoy. Highly recommend a coffee & one of the house made baked goodies.
