About

Arriba Burrito provides a streamlined experience centered on authentic Mexican street food staples. The menu focuses on high-volume production of substantial burritos and hand-pressed tacos filled with slow-cooked proteins, fresh cilantro, diced onions, and house-made salsas. Each order prioritizes efficiency without compromising the integrity of traditional spices and robust flavor profiles. Diners select from a variety of marinated meats and vegetarian alternatives, which are then expertly wrapped or assembled to ensure optimal portability. The workspace maintains a minimalist aesthetic, reflecting the rapid pace of the service model. This establishment emphasizes a direct culinary approach, ensuring that every prepared item maintains consistency and high-quality standards. The focus remains strictly on providing hearty, ingredient-driven meals that cater to individuals seeking a quick and reliable encounter with classic Mexican flavors.

Review Summary

Arriba Burrito is widely celebrated for serving some of the best and most authentic Mexican cuisine in Montreal, with many diners praising the freshness of the ingredients, the generous portion sizes, and the high quality of handmade items like tortillas. While the majority of reviews highlight an amazing atmosphere and excellent service, experiences can be inconsistent, as some patrons have encountered slow service or occasional issues with temperature and food preparation. Following recent renovations, the establishment has evolved into a more upscale setting, leading to higher price points that some find reasonable given the value, while others feel it is overpriced. Despite varying opinions on service speed and cost, the consistent quality of the tacos, burritos, and cocktails keeps many customers returning for a reliable and flavorful dining experience.

Great food.
Nice patio.
Very vintage aesthetic.

Seems to be only one bathroom, I can see how that can be an issue during peak time.
Expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Good quality doesn't come cheap.

After being going there for more than 1 year I can honestly say that is the best tacos in Montreal.

All is done handmade even the tortillas & using higher quality items than the competition.

Also Karan is the best host you can have !!

All the best to this amazing restaurant !

Overpriced!

Low quality nachos, even a beginner can do better , small portions to be highlighted.
Good pina colada cocktail
Took 1 hour to get the nachos , & another 1 hour to get the churros
Never going back again!

This used to be my go-to burrito takeout spot. It sucks to write this, but since the renovation that made the place a sit-in restaurant, the quality of the food has gone down, the prices have gone up & ordering takeout is really awkward. $25 for a mid burrito & some of blandest guac you've ever tasted is indefensible.

Been a client for 10 years. What made this place so special seems to be mostly gone. Used to be the best burrito in Montreal. Since the installation of the self serve machine the quality of the service is non existent & the quality of the food went down. I imagine that the people who were running the place are retired now. Really sad because it was perfect how it was.
