🚨Depuis 1975, un classique de Montréal Arahova est une institution & on dit souvent que c'est même meilleur qu'en Grèce. Attention, ce restaurant n'est pas affilié à d'autres emplacements du même nom. Il y a eu une chicane familiale & certains sont restés ici à l'original alors que d'autres membres de la famille sont partis ouvrir d'autres restos du même nom en banlieue. Ici c'est l'original. Le taramosalata était décevant & j'ai enlevé une étoile juste pour ça. Goûte plus la patate que les oeufs de poisson, celui acheté chez Adonis est meilleur que celui-ci. Par contre, bon pita chaud à l'origan pour la trempette. Le pita est chargé en extra à $3 (pas clair sur le menu). Le pita souvlaki à l'agneau est aussi bon qu'il y a 20 ou 30 ans, c'est la même recette que je considère un des meilleures au monde à cause de la viande qui est préparé sur place au sous-sol. Sublime avec le tzatziki ! 💘 Oui le resto est vieillot & n'as pas été rénové depuis un moment mais c'est ce qui fait le charme de l'endroit & je ne changerais pas le petit côté kitsch années 70s (voir photos). Les meilleurs Doner/Pita (gros format) les frites, passables. Le resto aurait besoin d'être rafraîchi. Bien situé. Le seul endroit pour manger ces Doners (boeuf/agneau haché) recette perso du proprio. Les meilleurs en ville. Portions généreuses. Un incontournable pour moi depuis 1975. Je le recommande!

Ok so I just want to say that I've been going to this restaurant for the past 40 years. It's by far the best Arahova of the chains, plus one of the best Greek restaurants in Montreal at a very affordable price. 8,25$ for a Doner that is twice the size of any other doner in Montreal. Was my first time back since covid, & the food was AMAZING!!!! I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TO FIND A BETTER PLACE!!! Service was great, place was very clean. Also the calamari was just amazing, melted in our mouth's. My pita was packed with meat & amazing tzatziki... They have the best tzatziki in Montreal. Hell it's even better then the tzatziki I had in Greece... I love this place. Thanks Arahova for the great food!!!!

15NOV2023 11:36AM I just witnessed a gesture of kindness. I heard someone knock on the windows from inside the closed restaurant. As I turn around, the man inside was calling an individual picking up cans & asked him to go around to another door. He was handed about 3-4 big trash bags of cans. The gratefulness of this individual, he just had the biggest smile. That made my day, it also made this man's day. MERCI!
