Not much pastry options, only very standard croissant, chocolatine, muffins & cinnamon rolls. However I must stress that I enjoyed the beverage & easily accessible wifi.
Kinda disappointed by the CAFE compared to the good rating.
Very bright white lighting, their 5$ latte is just coffee with milk in it (no expertise). Depends on your needs, bit the vibes are kinda off.
Didn't try the hotel, though.
I honestly had low expectations for the coffee since it's part of a hotel, but honestly, it's probably the best tasting cafe I had so far in Montreal (& I have tried most of the known coffee shops in town). Will be back NchAllah
🏝️A small, tucked-away oasis in the heart of the city. Been here many times for coffee dates with a friend or to chill out on my laptop. Located on Stanley near corner of Sherbrooke inside an old nondescript row house that is also a boutique-boutique hotel. It has a low-key exclusive feeling & a quaint, relaxing atmosphere that vibes student-hipster-Canadian. Many patrons seem associated with McGill University, which makes sense given the campus is a block away. Usually just one barista staffing the place who is always kind, accommodating, & mild mannered. Thoughtful, subtly cheeky, Montreal-hipster nods everywhere if you look close enough. Hats off to the managers, the place avoids stuffiness & has a soothing energy. Pastries & beverages are good though the lunch-y meals could stand to be fresher, smarter, tastier.
Update: I'm editing my review to include an incredible experience I had today. Since my umbrella was wet from the rain, I left it in the stand near the door. But when I was about to leave I noticed my umbrella was missing. I don't know whether someone took it by mistake or if it was an act of theft. Anyway, when I brought the issue to the lovely barista, an employee of the hotel (Nathanael) overheard my concern & offered to help. He literally went out in rain & got me a new umbrella! Just asked me to return it once I got something of my own. This should be a textbook example of going above & beyond. Goes to show how some employees take pride in their work & elevate the customer experience even if they don't have to. I'd cherish this kind gesture forever.

I'm officially in love with this cute little cafe. Doesn't feel like a typical "designed by corporate" or "trying to be hip" cafe. Instead, it makes you feel as if you've stepped into your study in your home.
I tried their latte & croissant; they were good. Barista was nice & polite.
