I ordered the MACAttack pizza, renowned as the best pizza in Canada. It was fairly good, though it had a very small amount of ground beef & mac. The chili oil was a nice touch, but overall, it wasn't perfect.View more

To be entirely transparent, I came here out of complete desperation. I arrived in Montreal late for the weekend & to my disbelief, most restaurants are closed by 10 or 11pm. Spent almost an hour trying to find somewhere close to my hotel with "decent" food at midnight. Uber Eats claimed Alto was a top choice & reviews made it sound like it was worthwhile to go for. Ambience? Don't expect any. Very casual dining experience. Had some hip-hop playing off Spotify, a few tv's showing sports highlights. Place was mostly filled intoxicated 16-21 yr. I suppose I would see the appeal too if I was still in their demographic. Overly large menu. Way too many options. Reminds me of Pickle Barrel. & for anyone that's eaten at Pickle Barrel they'll understand what I mean. Overly large menu options is usually a sign of poor food. I personally find restaurants should stick to focusing on doing a smaller number of food options well. Versus trying to please everyone. There's probably nothing on this menu you won't find. Greek, Italian, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, subs & bar food. Anything you'd find in the freezer at your grocery store you can get here. Is it the same as what you find in the frozen section? Pretty much. I had a chicken on a pita (chicken was fresh & cooked very well so no complaints on the pita). The fries were a little on the crisper/oily side. Not my personal preference. We also ordered a cheese pizza that's cut in half with spaghetti in the middle of the plate. Interesting menu option. Pasta honestly was pretty bland. Pizza was nothing special or memorable. Our server... 😂 This was a highlight. I couldn't get a read on her. She was either miserable or hated her job. She said she had been working like 10 hours with no food or water. & can't even take a washroom break. She appeared like she just running on fumes. Not sure what the deal was with that but she was an odd one to interact with. Anyways, I can see the appeal for the youngin's.. But as an adult there's zero reason to go here unless you literally need to eat to survive & there's no other options. Overrated by far in my opinion.View more

We had this for a late night meal, & the pizza was pretty good! Arrived hot & a decent amount of sauce & cheese. It was just an average good pizza, won't be included to order it the next time we're in town, but also wouldn't be disappointed if we ended up ordering again. ☺️View more

J'avais commandé une pizza large qui m'a coûter plus de 45$, mais qui en valait totalement la peine. J'avais pris une pizza meat lover avec un extra jalapeno, j'aurais souhaité qu'il garde les graines du piment afin de vraiment sentir le piment. C'était délicieux, en plus ça venait avec une oil au piment chili qui fournissait une bonne dose de piquant. Il y avait beaucoup de viande sur la pizza. J'étais venue avec une amie & je peux dire que la portion était assez grande pour emporter le reste à la maison. Le décor était chaleureux tout comme la clientèle. Par contre, le service était en anglais. En tout cas, je sais que je reviendrai certainement ici.View more

On springbreak, out with the family, we decide to have lunch at Alto pizzeria. The décor is nice, the owner is amazing & so friendly & the food is delicious. We had the Viva Italia pizza, so good. The crust is crispy, & I just loved it. The kids had curly fries with their cheese pizza, & they asked me when we are coming back to eat at Alto. Definitely coming back!!View more

We ate here for the first time in February 2024 after friends encouraged us to stop, & we were not disappointed!! The food was excellent, even our picky 10 year old loved the pizza! We will definitely come back next time we are in Montreal!View more

The pizza is good, don't ever touch the wings. I didn't realize my apt number wasn't on the receipt, so the delivery guy just left my order sitting in the building lobby for anyone to take. No phone call, not even a delivery notification...still said'order delayed'. & I owe a tip for this?View more

Passed by today with family for early dinner. Something particular with this pizza place: the wings were excellent, the burger well performed & tasty fries but the cheese pizza was soggy & the lasagna sub par. First time that I feel in a pizza place all seems to be good but the pizza/pasta. I may come back for the wings though.View more

Honestly was excited to try this spot but the only thing that was good was the service & didn't even give it a 3-4 star bcuz the wait time was told to be 15-20 & was 45 minutes. Pizza gave me & my whole family diarrhea & it wasn't worth almost 100$ for what was bought.. overall not satisfied in the least bit.View more

Expensive- Poor service & lack of friendliness- unpleasant & ordinary pizza Waitress is very rude & haughty. I went with a group of volunteers this afternoon. & the waitress was really trying to inflate the bill by all means. I told her twice that the quantities were sufficient even though she was suggesting an average of 4 to 6 points for one person, on the pretext that we were taking them home. It was a birthday dinner & I mentioned to her in front of the guests that we would take the quantity we needed now only that 3 to 4 slices of pizza were enough for one person. The same thing happened with a second pizza which she said was good for the house if we had too much. Her imputation of what we should take was not desired. She finally brought us a 6 point pizza for one of our volunteers. Although I mentioned to her twice that the smaller one would be fine. This time I didn't say anything. Honestly, it would be nice to respect customers' wishes without inflating the bill or making the pizza bigger by bringing us something we didn't order. Without respect or listening. It was a dialogue of the deaf in front of my guests, a great atmosphere! She was really trying to inflate the bill, really uncomfortable. I wouldn't go there again.
