Reviews describe Aloe Café as a warm, family-run spot with homemade focaccia, fresh ingredients, and authentic Italian flavors that feel like a little slice of Italy in the West Island. The sandwiches, especially the focaccia varieties, are repeatedly praised for being flavorful, generously portioned, and made with quality, with options that suit different diets, including gluten free and vegetarian choices. Coffee is treated seriously and consistently good, with homemade drinks and smooth cappuccinos noted. Guests highlight the friendly, attentive staff and the welcoming atmosphere, often calling it a hidden gem and a place that truly feels like home. The menu also features soups, salads, desserts, and drinks that pair well with the bread, and many reviewers mention value for price and a clean, cozy space with good music. Overall, Aloe Café is seen as reliable, fresh, and worth returning to for quality Italian inspired comfort food.
Amazing flavourful sandwich with homemade focaccia, fresh variety of ingredients, great selection of beverages & smoothies.
The sandwich looked so delicious that I just dug right in & only thought about taking a picture for this review once I eagerly finished the first half. Yum !

The food was incredible, & most of all, the service was on point. The owner was an absolute sweetheart & personally went to each table to make sure we were all good!
Update: We went again & had the best time.
This was our second time visiting Aloe Café in less than a week, & the food, drinks, & service were incredible! As an avid music lover, the owner, Rubens, even invited me behind the counter to browse his record collection. &, because we wanted coffee & smoothies, he customized our order to include an espresso shot in the drinks. What a gem of a human & a place. We'll be coming here every time we visit Montreal to see our family. All the best!
took my family for a last minute dinner as we wanted something light, fresh & tasty, & Aloe Cafe did not disappoint! The owner, Reuben, was very gracious, friendly & hospitable. We will be back!
Without a doubt, one of the nicest ppl running the show. Food selections & drinks are healthy & tasty - Next to the CAA office. Creations not usually found. Well done team.
The food here is absolutely incredible. Worth coming here & try their sandwiches with a nice tasty cappuccino. Highly recommend especially if you love Italian sandwiches.
Sandwiches were delicious! Especially if you have their homemade focaccia 👌 Excellent service from Rubens & Catherine. Even made us taste test their maple water that they use to make our smoothie. Wife & I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

Finally a healthy restaurant in the West Island that uses high quality ingredients! Tasted like a homemade meal + no seed oil! Food was amazing & the owners are very kind. I'll definitely be returning!
Very tasty sandwiches & delicious sourdough bread & focaccia. Their potatoes are also to die for! If you are looking for the comfort of a homemade meal, this is the place to go.
Not only is the food great, the owners are also very welcoming. Very excited to try more items off their menu!
Fresh & delicious food, warm & welcoming staff, good tunes & delicious coffee. Definitely recommended, their focaccia alone is reason enough to visit. The owners were patient & extremely helpful with my girlfriend who has some dietary restrictions, they made something custom that she could eat that tasted exceptional.
Had a free night & wanted to explore, I came across this place & was delightfully surprised by the menu, the own & cook. The owner was so welcoming & gracious & the chef was funny & energetic. The menu is wonderful & you will not leave the place feeling bloated. I have the Focaccia Carne & the beef was melting in my mouth, the owner said it was slow roasted for 5 hours. I was excited by seeing Lemon Coffee Cake, & was disappointed when the owner said it was done, but that just reaffirmed to me it is a must try if it sells out quickly. He offered me some delicious Greek cookies & it hit the spot with my coffee. I'm looking forward to going back & becoming a regular!
