I was quite disappointed with my recent visit to Allô Mon Coco at Place Vertu, especially considering how great my experiences have been at other locations.
Unfortunately, the service at this location was not up to par. Toward the end of our meal, the server (Maria C.) made a rude & inappropriate comment regarding the tip amount. Tipping is discretionary & based on the quality of service, so I found her remarks both unprofessional & uncomfortable. Rather than genuinely asking if something was wrong, her tone was accusatory. This felt especially unfair given that she had forgotten to bring my partner a cup of water & a takeout container for her leftovers, both basic requests that were missed.
To make matters worse, both my partner & I felt unwell after the meal. The food was underwhelming & didn't sit right with us. The ambiance also left much to be desired; the seating was ripped, & the overall atmosphere felt tired & neglected.
We had a relatively simple breakfast, but the bill was higher than expected for the quality we received, making it difficult to justify a generous tip.
I hope this location can improve both its service standards & overall environment to match the quality I've come to expect from this chain.View more

We had a wonderful breakfast experience this morning, & a big part of that was thanks to Jay-a true professional who brought the perfect good morning vibes. From the moment we walked in, Jay made us feel welcomed, cared for, & set a positive tone for the rest of our day. His attentiveness & genuine kindness really stood out.
Another bonus: this restaurant opens a full hour earlier than most of the nearby competition, which made it even better to start the day right without feeling rushed or crowded.
Thank you, Jay, for turning a simple breakfast into a memorable experience. We'll definitely be coming back!View more
Great portions, we had all the scrumptious large plates from crepes, to pancakes, scrambled, great fresh fruit.... Overall a great option for breakfast or brunch.View more
We had breakfast today at our favourite neighborhood AMCoco, service was generally fine & atmosphere as we remembered it, as we hadn't been here in a while. 3 of us with two breakfasts that were good as usual... the other was a lunch special that we've ordered many times before but for the first time it came out different. Club sandwich special; The salad, soup, & coffee were fine. Usually the fries are perfectly cooked for frozen fries, & their club is really good, with fresh roasted Iike chicken... for the first time the fries were off, seemed like refried French fries - you know that taste & texture. & the main meal which we were looking forward to was off. Instead of the normally juicy bbqued like pieces of chicken it is now heavily coated with spices & had an orangish tint to it... maybe covering a cheap piece of meat? Or trying too hard to make something taste better when the classic taste was very good. We explained to our waitress, she was actually fine & reasonably pleasant, but only answered with an, "I'm sorry," apology & moved on. Regardless of getting anything or offering anything, a better conversation & explanation would have sufficed... we thought, perhaps it's the first (lunch) order syndrome -> leftovers being repurposed?! Wanted to have a nice relaxing meal & conversation, instead left a poor taste in our mouths, literally & figuratively, will not order this way again... if we ever come back 🙄😔🤔View more
Very busy. Server wasn't very attentive. Large portions. Pricey for breakfast.View more
I always come here to eat breakfast with my grandmother. I recently had a surgery that doesn't allow me to eat much. I wanted a kid's meal portion, which was refused & I understood. (I even showed my medical card) The waiter was rude about it. I then ordered an adult sized meal. We got our meals & the potatoes & the bread weren't what we ordered. Our coffee & water wasn't being filled. As we waited for the bill, the owner came out to talk to us. We are grown adults & understand that I couldn't order a kids' portion. We didn't need the owner to come out & rehash & defend the issue. It was uncalled for & he was very unfriendly. The food was already ordered & end of story. He also asked us about the waiter & what exactly was said. We said nevermind, we just wanted to pay & get out of there because the whole atmosphere was negative & uncomfortable. He left our table & we waited for the bill. Our waiter came without a word & dropped the payment machine & bill on the edge of the table & walked away. Not even looking at us or handing it to us. I have never been so disappointed in service. My grandmother is 79 years old & we always come here to eat together. We will never come back.View more
Pros: Monday to Friday, if you go early enough, they have an early bird special menu that's inexpensive. Portions are large. Free coffee refills. Breakfast potatoes (cubed or mashed) are tasty. Cons: The urinal in the handicap washroom is overflowing with urine. When it rains, the restaurant is riddled with buckets to catch the water from the leaky ceiling.View more
First of all, you get greeted by a sweatpants wearing teenager who graciously makes time for you by stopping her social media for a few minutes. She is wearing tennis sneakers & looks like she just came back from gym class. We are offered the worst seats in the busiest location (where there should not even be a table, frankly) & when we ask to be seated in one of the many empty tables she says it is reserved, but no one is there at 2 pm (& no one show up there the entire time we ate!). We get seated at a high table, order & the food arrives quickly. But, no utensils & no check on us (you know, the usual "is everything to your liking..") despite the fact that we are clearly not eating. Finally, I request utensils & the missing toast (no butter, please). The utensils arrive immediately but the toast is drenched in butter. Frankly, the entire experience was something that felt like a fancy McDonalds. Kids for staff who have no experience & lots of plastic decor. If I am to spend almost $50 bucks on two coffees, a breakfast plate & 1 side of potatoes (fancy & yummy, I must admit), I would rather go elsewhere. It was just not worth the value. Fifty bucks & I only ordered 1 full meal (2 eggs, a smallish dessert crepe, & forgettable extras on the side). In summary, I like the food at this place, but the experience (service & ambience) & the bang for the buck is just not there.View more
We went to a different Allô mon Coco last weekend & that experience was completely different & for the type of restaurant they are, a 5 star brunch experience. This Allô mon Coco is much more of a cold & plain environment with people walking by in the mall being noisy & loud. The food was much different with no seasoning at all, not fresh & you can tell it was sitting around for a while in the kitchen. The Crispy Chunk breakfast potatoes weren't crispy, had NO SEASONING at all & were almost still raw & cold. Green onions on things they aren't supposed to be on or described in the item list & everything was tasteless. On top of that the staff were very standoffish & almost rude. Definitely wouldn't return or recommend this location.View more
I'm from out of town & needed a great breakfast / brunch place for family. Food was ample, presented well, had variety & delicious. On top of that we had a very large table & the service was fantastic & quick.View more

We been going to Allo Mon Coco Cote-Vertu for the last 4 years ones or twice a week for breakfast before starting to work. Even during the covid, we use to go there for take out. always been amazing. But I don't know what happen during the last year... Now, we only go ones a week. The cube potatoes are never really hot, Bacon you have to be lucky as well. Eggs are always good. BUT THE TOAST, you always feel like they put the all bread in the toaster & they put butter as they need it. Its very disappointing. What happen? Did they changed the cook? the way of doing things? anyway, I guess its time for us to try another place.View more
New breakfast menu with slightly higher prices but well worth the additional cost.
Love the new menu format with healthy options. Generous portions & good quality food overall.
Service was attentive & professional.View more
Great place for a nice relaxing brunch in a weekend.
The place was full but wasn't crowded.
It was kinda busy, the waitress was slightly slower but ok.
I have the special Allo Mon coco. Eggs were done as requested (easy over). The breakfast came out hot. Love it.
Food was as usual great. The portions of fruits has decreased compared to before probably due to the inflation.
Overall great experience.
I would recommend to have an laid-back brunch.
