Allô Mon Coco - Breakfast with a Side of Patience

We stopped at Allô Mon Coco for breakfast, & overall, it was a delicious & very generous experience!

Our daughter went straight for the Nutella crêpe with orange juice - because apparently breakfast is supposed to be dessert when you're a kid. 😄 My wife had the sausage, potato cubes, scrambled eggs & fruit, while I went with the Montreal Omelet loaded with meat & Swiss cheese, served with dark bread. Of course, coffee was involved - & thankfully, the refills kept coming hot & plentiful. ☕?

The food was genuinely delicious, & the portions were HUGE. Nobody left wondering whether breakfast was enough. If anything, we were wondering if we needed to rent a U-Haul to take the leftovers home. 😂

The restaurant was surprisingly quiet, with only a couple of families dining when we arrived. The staff spoke English & were friendly & pleasant.

Now for the one little wrinkle: the wait. About 30 minutes for our food when the dining room was mostly empty. That felt a little excessive. We started wondering if our omelet was being raised from an egg, taught French, & given a culinary degree before reaching the table. 😂

Still, the food was excellent, the portions generous, the coffee stayed hot, & the staff were kind. So despite the unusually long breakfast production schedule, we left happy.

Delicious breakfast, huge portions, good coffee & friendly service - just bring a little patience… apparently breakfast here likes to make a grand entrance. 😉

We ate here this morning & had high hopes for this restaurant for a good brunch. However we quickly found that the restaurant was not set up at all for people with allergies. My son has allergies to eggs & nuts. The waiter confirmed that it was not possible to change any menu item by adding or removing any items. They were unsure of which items may affect allergies & he kept informing us that though they would try their best, they couldn't guarantee that food was free from any of the reported allergens & that it was at our risk. This is fair enough but it showed a lack of understanding & empathy. We found the food to be relatively average. Some food items came out wrong or were brought out in stages. Perhaps give this one a swerve if you have any allergies in your party. Overall food was relatively good value for money & tasty enough but the overall experience was poor. As a take away point for the restaurant I think the kitchen & particularly our waiter Pablo could do with additional training for dealing with customers with allergies.

So happy to find this delightful breakfast restaurant near our hotel in Montreal. Our server Youssef was charming. The eggs were delicious & the fruit was very fresh.

I've always been a fan of the Allo mon coco franchise. Recently I came to this specific one & made the difference. Since the warm welcoming from the staff & the amazing interior design & detail the restaurant has. It's has a great quality ambiance & the egg themed atmosphere is hilarious. The service is fast & waiters are always for you with a smile from ear to ear. & please don't let me start w the food!!! Amazing. I took the Mexican casserole & it was amazing. My family took as well different plates & the taste & the presentation was incredible. It's hard to find a restaurant that can count with this amazing qualities so I strongly recommend people to go over there. Thanks allo mon coco for that amazing experience!!

Amazing, I went twice while I was in Montreal & the food was just amazing l, the first time I went I got the eggs Benedict's & it was just so good, the sauce was delicious, they also give you the option between cubes or fries & they give you lots of fruit as well which is really nice, the second time au went there I got a chocolate crepe with eggs, beacon, cubes & fruit the taste was just beautiful.

The service was excellent all the staff were very nice & professional, we had the same waitress on the two times we went & she was very nice & professional.

The atmosphere was nice, there's a nice vibe to the restaurant, there people chatting & the lighting is nice, it's not to loud but not to quiet it's just perfect.

I highly recommend Allo mon Coco & J look forward to going back in the near future which is most likely best year so I can't wait.

The food was amazing! Be back soon! One had the crepe & other had French toast well the whipped cream was fluffy & yummy. The other 3 had the standard breakfast 2 eggs & any 2 sides. The portions were perfect.

Great food! Your typical diner place, I didn't think much more of it. I got their egg benedict. Would recommend if you are in the area & want to have breakfast.
