Our first time & what a wonderful experience! We knew that they had vegan options but did not know that they offered a vegan tasting menu! Everything was delicious with plenty of flavours. Excellent friendly accommodating service. Sorbet for dessert capped off a great meal. Tasting menu is 45$-50$ per person. Well worth it.

Toujours une expérience parfaite, que cela soit au Alep ou au petit Alep ! Le service y était excellent & les plats toujours aussi décadents! Recommandation pour l'assiette végétalienne, le kébbé nayé, la fattouche, le plat d'agneau & les atayefs au noix avec la crème glacée au chocolat noir 72% comme dessert !

Great food, Alep is specialized in Syrian/Armenian food & totally nails it every time. The service is very good & I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to live a real middle eastern culinary experience. Prices are a bit high but that can be justified with good quality ingredients & the great service.
For the price, I expected the food to have bolder flavours & have more variety in terms of the texture in each bite. I got the sea bass & I preferred it in other restaurants. The flavours they went with I found were more on the bland side. I preferred the mudjadara then the sea bass cause it was more flavourful. I remember petit alep had better flavours so would need to go back there to re-confirm.
L'accueil : impeccable (hôtesse à l'entrée & préposé au vestiaire). Les tables sont suffisamment éloignées les unes des autres (certaines tables sont séparées par un panneau de verre qui bloque efficacement les conversations). Très bon service, ni trop rapide, ni trop lent. Le sommelier nous a bien conseillé; le choix de vins au verre est cependant assez limité (seulement quatre vins rouges au verre lors de notre visite, à partir de 14,50 $ le verre). Les entrées sont en général assez petites, sauf pour la soupe, copieuse. En plat principal, nous avons commandé les kababs (d'Alep & khach-khach), excellents; 2 brochettes sont suffisantes. Cependant, ces plats (& d'autres vraisemblablement) ne comprennent pas les accompagnements. Nous avons commandé comme accompagnements le riz aux lentilles moujadara (copieux pour une seule personne) & une salade (portion correcte pour une personne). Le repas s'est terminé avec un thé (choix de plusieurs bons thés), servi dans de jolies théières. Nous avions la table pour deux heures, durée un peu juste si on désire prendre en plus un apéritif &/ou un digestif.
Wow, this restaurant experience blew us away. We didn't feel like making any decisions tonight besides where we ate, & our server Mirka chose the perfect dishes to quench our thirst for the fresh flavours of Syria & Armenia. Thank you sweet server, & thank you to the rest of the service team for your attentiveness & smiles!! MUAH

I went to Petit Alep, the restaurant next door, with a friend who was there when it opened almost 30 years ago. Everything was delicious, & I had a little bit of an insiders view.

Endroit magnifique pour epater vos papilles, notre serveur ( Emmanuel) est grand connaisseur de son menu, laisser le vous faire voyager, merci pour cette belle soirée inoubliable!
La cuisine & le service excellents. Par contre, la déco est trop occidentale, on ne sent pas voyager un peu aux pays évoqués dans l'expérience gastronomique. Finalement, il y a trop de tables à l'intérieur du local, ce qui fait un bruit excessif à l'heure de pointe. Il faudrait séparer les tables pour donner un peu plus de calme ou bien de s'asseoir à l'extérieur si possible.
