The best brunch I've had so far in Montreal! I've eaten there twice now -- brought a larger group the second time & everyone was super happy with their food. My favourite was the benedicto! That chipotle sauce is plate-licking good (though I refrained, being in public & all). Kudos to the chef that created that.
I also love that they include coffee with the meal, & bring little fruit & smoothie & banana bread treats while you wait for your order to arrive. Such a nice touch.
I'll be returning often. Grateful to have this place in my neighborhood 💛
P.s. I saw pictures of a cute patio setup on Google Maps but there was no sign of it in person, curious what happened to that! Would love to hang on the patio with a smoothie sometime if it ever opens back up.
Great place for amazing brunch/breakfast. We came with a friend for a relaxed weekend brunch & ended up spending about four hours I suppose.
Food was great, very well presented & good portions. We went for an Omelette a la Poblana & Vegano. Both came with a fruit plate & a smoothie. Also ordered a coffee (refillable) & a dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing, except the sesame bread which was burnt from the bottom. Service was really great. Omelette a la Poblana absolutely recommended.
Definitely coming back & bringing more friends here.
Alejandro absolutely impressed me with its incredible food. Every dish was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavour, & beautifully plated. The complimentary bread & fresh fruit were such a thoughtful touch.
The only downside was that it seemed like the staff were stretched thin, & while they were polite & courteous, the wait time were long. That said, the food more than made up for it, & I'd definitely return.
We had an incredible breakfast at Alejandro in Montreal. This spot is a must-visit for anyone looking for flavourful brunch dishes with a Mexican twist. We tried the Benedicto, chilaquiles, & poblano omelette, & every bite was delicious. The eggs on the Benedict were perfectly poached medium, the sauce was rich & smooth, & the shredded chipotle ham added just the right balance of sweet & spicy.
Before our meals, the staff treated us to a fresh fruit plate, a smoothie shot, & a slice of walnut banana bread. Such thoughtful touches & great value. The ambiance was warm & welcoming, making it a perfect spot for weekend brunch or a casual breakfast in Montreal. If you're searching for authentic Mexican brunch, Alejandro should be at the top of your list.
Cute little place with great food. Staff were super friendly & brought us some bread for the table, & we each got a complimentary fruit salad & smoothie shot.
Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great brunch!
Lovely experience overall! The service, the little extras(fruit, smoothie,& little bread) & the main meal, all contributed to a lovely afternoon experience. I would certainly return. Thanks to my server Santiago, as he was very quick & friendly. 😊
Super friendly service with a couple unexpected treats before the meal: a nice pecan bread & really good smoothie shots. Food itself was great, I had a nice fusion poutine, (massive) pancakes, burrito, & benedict were all good too. Hot chocolate was lovely! People told us to go to the Village & I figured brunch would be the best time for it - I was right. 10/10 experience.
Really tasty food! Portions are generous, & not on the bread & potatoes, like in other breakfast places, but actually the meat.
Such a great find! So good I forgot to take a picture until we were halfway through our meals. We came to Montreal for a weekend trip from NY. Our Airbnb was a two min walk from this place. Everything was fresh & delicious, beyond reasonable pricing & just excellent. I got the fresh toast & El Nopal smoothie which was refreshing & exactly what I needed. The fresh toast was so perfectly balance you didn't even need the maple syrup! The walnut cream & fresh fruit was complement enough. My husband got the Végon & his avocado toast with mango was so fresh, the mango was a dream! Coffee was smooth & delicious & the complementary bread that was served with the coffee was a perfect appetizer. Service was kind & welcoming, highly recommend for a fresh, healthy & delicious meal. We came around 9 AM on a Saturday & were the only diners in there. I suspect it gets busier later in the day but we are early risers & we're delighted to be able to get in without any wait. Don't miss this place!
