Le prix par contre, WOW! C'est cher!
Un repas pour 3 personnes & on s'entend c'est un casse-croute frôle le 100$. (Combo 25$ plus txs- sans boisson!!!) C'est exagéré.
Si vous mourrez d'envie d'un smoke meat (halal) petit conseil...prenez juste le sandwich à emporter. Faites vos frites chez vous, un gros pot de pickles & le tour est joué.
Je veux bien que le principe c'est de faire un peu de profit mais il y a bien une limite!
Employés sympathiques mais si je dois y retourner ça sera juste 1 sandwich.
Came here very eager to try their alleged AAA Angus smoked meat, which, by definition, AAA Angus must be marbled meat. What I got was super lean, no marbling. I've been fooled by previous customer pictures (posted 3 years back) showing well-marbled smoked meat sandwich thinking I'll receive the same thing. Note that I did ask if they have medium fat i.e. I prefer a fatty cut not lean. I was told they don't have that option here. Now see the picture - it's too lean, barely any marbling. It's more expensive compared to other smoked meat deli's but it's no different than their lean version, has a'dry' texture to it due to the lack fat. Thankfully I didn't order the expensive plate/ assiette, $35 for just an average tasting super lean meat + bread, I'd be mad to pay this amount + tax + tips for unmarbled product & bread! I'd rather go elsewhere like Schwartz $29 large plate or Dunn's Laval $27.50 for a plate + coleslaw + fries or George's Laval cost-friendly plate is $24 with fries & coleslaw. These outlets didn't boast about AAA Angus, but the taste is much better.
If you like lean meat, maybe you'll like this spot. They also mentioned they have'à l'ancienne' for a fattier option. Decently marbled & cheaper? Go elsewhere (I'd suggest Dunns medium fat has a very marbled texture, Schwartz or George's which is $11 cheaper & you even get fries/ coleslaw).
If this restaurant wants to serve lean meat, they could've very well done it with cheaper briskets for the same flavour, texture & juiciness & make it more pocket friendly for customers. The process of brining & smoking & steaming the meat for long hours will anyway tenderize & keep the meat juicy. I didn't see any perceived goodness or quality from this restaurant's'AAA Angus'. Sorry not coming back
I used to love this place because it was the ONLY Halal smoke meat spot I knew in Montreal, so I didn't have much of a choice. At the initial stages, they were good, & their qtys were decent. Right now, you can't order them in pounds, & I was super disappointed to see their qty serving for a combo & then the large $34 large sandwich, which cost me $90 in total. It was not enough for two people & the meat was not great at all....Not worth it at all for the price & quality. I felt like I was robbed as I went back home & checked the qty. Not recommended. I guess this is my last visit & would opt out, looking for another place.
Depuis l'ouverture, je suis un client régulier de ce restaurant & j'ai toujours apprécié la qualité de leurs plats ainsi que le service offert.depuis quelque temps, j'ai remarqué une baisse importante de la qualité, ce qui est très décevant.
La goutte qui a fait déborder le vase s'est produite cette semaine, le 20-04-2026, lorsque j'ai commandé un sandwich classique en précisant que je le souhaitais le plus maigre possible, avec le moins de gras possible. La réponse que j'ai reçue a été : Si tu cherches de la viande maigre, tu n'es pas à la bonne place !
J'ai trouvé cette remarque très déplacée, irrespectueuse & blessante, surtout venant d'un établissement où je suis client fidèle depuis longtemps. Je l'ai vraiment ressenti comme une gifle. Je ne suis pas un nouveau client, & je pense mériter un minimum de respect & de considération.
This is hands down the best smoked meat sandwich I have ever had. I've had many in my life, especially around Montreal, & nothing tops this one. The bread is fresh, the meat is incredibly tender, & it practically falls apart. It's also not overloaded with moisture, so the bread stays perfectly intact instead of getting soggy. It's honestly an unbelievable sandwich. I would absolutely drive back from Ottawa just for this.
I also want to mention the fries, because they were some of the best I've had. They were soft on the inside, still crunchy on the outside, & packed with flavour. They were so good they didn't even need ketchup or any dips. The coleslaw was fresh & had a really nice kick to it as well.
The restaurant itself is very clean & has nice seating, which made the whole experience even better. On top of that, the staff were very friendly & welcoming.
Walked in & immediately felt like I was meant to be here. Abdurahman is an absolute legend with hospitality. The food spoke for itself, the quality was impeccable! We ordered the Classic Smoked Meat Sandwich Combo (Number 1) & the Rueben Sandwich (Number 4). We also ordered the Smoked Meat Poutine to take home! The place was spotless & the ambience was nice & cozy. Highly recommend if you want real authentic HALAL Smoked Meat! Will definitely be coming back again to try the Steak & more smoked meat!!

I visited Ashoura Deli for the first time & ordered a smoked meat sandwich. I usually go to Montreal when I want this kind of sandwich, but a friend recommended this place-& it was a great recommendation.
The smoked meat was delicious, full of flavor, & very well prepared. What really made the experience special was the person who served me. He was incredibly kind & welcoming, invited me to see the smoked meat & how it's sliced, & even generously offered me a good portion to taste.
Amazing food, great quality, & outstanding service. I truly loved the experience & will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Excellent little deli in Laval. Classic smoked meat sandwich, Rueben sandwich & smoked meat poutine are all excellent. Portions are large & will fill you up.

10/10 littéralement. C'est maintenant la 4e fois que je viens à ce restau & c'est absolument délicieux. Sandwich classique à la viande de fumée, le Ruben, la poutine ou encore le burger (my fave), y'en a pour tous les goûts & you'll leave satisfied! Bonus : le Staff est super sweet & it's halal. At this point RUN don't walk. Will def come for a fifth time
Before coming here, I saw some mixed reviews on social media. but the owner was super nice & clearly passionate about what he does. My friends & I tried the Reuben sandwich & the poutine I'd rate the overall food an 8/10. Besides that, the service & vibes were great. Definitely worth a visit.
Smoked meat was so good especially Sandwich N4 omg & the poutine also took fries fresh & crispy overall it the food was amazing & the place is very clean highly recommended 👌👌
