I didn't know this place existed until I watched a tiktok video showing the reuben sandwich & WOW am I glad I decided to come here. Not only was the sandwich phenomenal but the service was incredible too, the owner & the gentlemen at the register were so kind & helpful & they really made sure everything was perfect. I loved my experience so much that I even took a reuben sandwich to go for my family to try. Also to top it all off, it's HALAL!!! What more could you ask for?
The expectations were kind of high going into this smoked meat restaurant since I've heard a lot about it before going there. It was really great overall. The poutine was really good & the Reuben smoked meat was the best this restaurant offered, the normal smoked meat sandwich was really good too just that the bread didn't really go well with the quality of the meat inside because honestly their meat was really good but the bread that came with it was not so good. We met the owner there at the cash & we had a conversation with him afterwards, & I can confirm that he seems like someone to care about the quality of his food & his costumers views on the food he offers. Good thing about this restaurant is that it's really accessible since it's just one detour away from the highway which made it easy to get to. Everything is halal too. There's plenty of parking space.
Stopped by here on our Montreal trip, was absolutely blown away by the reuben sandwich 10/10 definitely must try. 100% coming back here this spot is definitely a hidden gem & the hospitality was amazing!

Excellent spot for halal smoked meat sandwiches! We tried both the Classic & the Reuben, & they were fantastic. The poutine was also incredibly delicious. Everything exceeded our expectations, & we'll definitely be coming back!
I searched for a place to get a halal poutine & potentially smoking sandwich, came across this place & I had the best authentic Reuben sandwich with homemade sauerkraut! I can 100% recommend visiting for a halal Reuben smoked meat sandwich. The poutine was decent, vut I can recommend the sandwich 100%! & they sell Cott cherry drink which was awesome!
I visited Achoura Deli on Monday, February 16, 2026, with a friend who regularly drives all the way from Brossard just to enjoy their food - & now I understand why!
We both had the Reuben, which was absolutely delicious. The smoked meat paired perfectly with Thousand Island sauce, sauerkraut, & Swiss cheese, along with crispy fries & refreshing black cherry soda - everything was perfect. I also ordered a smoked meat plate & a large smoked meat poutine for my family, & the poutine was amazing. It had a kind of pepper sauce that I absolutely loved - one of the best poutines I've had so far!
I even had the chance to chat with the owner, who confirmed that their brisket is AAA Angus Halal from BC (if not mistaken). Compared to other spots, everything at Achoura is truly homemade from scratch - from the spicing, to smoking, to steaming - & it really shows in the flavor & quality.
The restaurant is also impressively clean, well-organized, & has lots of parking space, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The service is excellent: the staff are friendly, welcoming, & happy to make great recommendations. The atmosphere is simple, warm, & inviting, making it a place you want to return to.
Definitely a top spot in Laval for a quick meal without compromising on quality. I highly recommend them!

From the outside, Achoura Deli might not immediately catch your eye but don't let that fool you. Step inside & you're welcomed into a warm, inviting space where the real magic happens. The food & the owners are absolutely wonderful. We ordered the Reuben & the smoked meat poutine, & both were outstanding. The smoked meat was some of the best we've ever had perfectly seasoned, tender, & incredibly flavorful. You can truly taste the difference in the quality of the ingredients. The owner prepares everything with care, using clean, fresh components, & it shows in every bite. On top of that, the owner's kindness & passion elevate the experience even further. It's rare to find a place where the food & the hospitality are equally memorable, but Achoura Deli delivers on both fronts. A definite must-visit for anyone who loves great smoked meat & genuine, heartfelt service.
Before coming here, I saw some mixed reviews on social media. but the owner was super nice & clearly passionate about what he does. My friends & I tried the Reuben sandwich & the poutine I'd rate the overall food an 8/10. Besides that, the service & vibes were great. Definitely worth a visit.
