Afficher toutchicken(51) naan(29) biryani(20) recommend(16) fresh(14) pakistani(13) tasty(13) chargha(12) fish(10) rice(10) lassi(10) masala(9)This restaurant is located on a very busy road & an area full of other Indian restaurants but this is a Pakistani restaurant & yes there is a difference in two cuisines. The ambience is good & the police is clean with polite & respectful young ladies serving the tabes. We ordered charga half chicken amongst other items but when it arrived it was not chargha at it . They had fried a half chicken which had been coated with tandoori masala in oil & sent it us. It was like chewing rubber. This is disingenuous because those who have eaten chargha chicken know it's NEVER FRIED Chicken. I did ask the waitress to tell them but got no response & that is bad way to deal with customers. You should at least come & apologize for the mis-selling. Complacency breeds contempt & this how restaurants go down. I speak from experience of running corporations as well as my own successful business.
786 is downright the BEST halal restaurant in Montreal (& for me, in the world). We 100% trust their hand slaughtered chicken! We also are probably the most frequent 786 DoorDash customers. They make the best BBQ - both the chargha & the legs! I have literally frozen them & taken them for my kid all over the world. You can know how much I trust & love this place because I catered my wedding reception from here.
Going in person since it was in the Greek fish restaurant on the second floor, I love the new decor & vibe. The food is always consistently delicious & flavourful without being too spicy.
The people who work there are so nice & attentive. We really appreciated Huzaifah & Tina's service with a smile!
They have a little reception section downstairs too.
Best Halal Food in Montreal, one of best taste for halal butter chicken not to much spicy. Taste good with garlic naan. Best way to order just order butter chicken once it arrive then order naan as separate. Then you'll also get white rice 🍚 they come free otherwise it quite expensive.
Customer service is not very top notch.
Good & Service both are fantastic, we order Friday special Haleem & Chicken Chargha. Highly recommended.
We had a friends gathering yesterday,we ordered from 786 halal restaurant. One of the worst veal karahi I've had. It looked dry & like leftovers, & they even refused the left overs of sekh kebab to replace it with veal. Really disappointing, not recommended at all. I ordered 3 fish, but they were also left overs from yesterday, they were cold & bit smelly too we ordered chicken karahi which was also too bad.we spent more then 130$ at their restaurant but we have to ordere from another store too, because our guests didn't like the food.
I ordered chicken Karahi & beef kababs. Karahi was okay but kebabs were uncooked & dry. The waiter also took order for mango lassi but never delivered & I thought she forget so no issue. After paying the bill, luckily I asked for receipt & mango lassi was charged on my bill. When I pointed it to the counter lady, she provided me ready made mango lassi( drink as you go). I was very disappointed to the service.
786 staff were friendly, service & greeting was on point. unfortunately the food was not. Butter chicken was not butter chicken.
Lamb Karai was not Karai. The only thing that we may have enjoined was the Chargha chicken & then the karak chai. Kheer also was not up to par. Shame.
I like the curries. One item was really good, forgot the name. Butter chicken was okay but not like other Indian restaurants. The chicken biryani they served was not cooked properly. Rice was half cooked & little hard. I told the waiter while paying she said it's always cooked like this,I felt like I never had (ate) biryani 😀😀😀). She didn't even apologize.
Best Pakistani food in Montreal. Lahori Chargha & ginger chicken are amazing
