49th Parallel Micro-Torréfacteur Cafe opens its doors in Montreal at its first ever location outside of British Columbia in the summer of 2021. Finding and creating this space was a long, occasionally challenging but always interesting process that took over a year to complete!
The space itself, its location in the heart of Old Montreal and the building’s history were an obvious draw. This was a labour of love from all the people involved in the project, from the contractor to the designer – everyone came together to preserve the charm of the old building with its exposed 100 year old bricks and stone masonry while bringing it to life with a sleek retro design.
Our fourth Café features the 49th coffee everyone knows and loves, Lucky’s donut menu revamped with reimagined Quebec classics and a full kitchen featuring breakfast egg burgers and seasonal brunch offerings (coming soon).

Top tier coffee shop. They have San remo Cafe racer espresso machine. Top tier grinders & a very balanced medium roast espresso bean. Lucky donuts are pricey but very much worth it. I would say this store matches the quality of their original shop in kitsilano Vancouver.View more

Les beignets à la pistache étaient vraiment éclatés au sol. Ils sont 3 derrière le bar pour sortir en 15 min 2 chocolat, belle perf. Le service à la caisse était tout à fait convenable. I often go for their chai latte, but their coffees are super yummy, too. The staff are all very friendly & seem to know a lot about their coffee. I go to a lot of cafés, & this one is officially my favourite one. It has a lot of spaces. You can sit alone, or with a group of friends. There's quiet spaces & open spaces. The decoration is absolutely beautiful. The ambiance is very much feels fancy & expensive, but the artwork makes it more inviting & hippie. They serve donuts & cafés both a really high quality. I am in love with the worlds because they're not overly sweet in the coffee just feels really good quality. I also like the colour theme of Tiffany, turquoise & gold. & the logo at the café 49 Parallel is a magnificent touch. Overall really a big fan of this café.View more

Overpriced coffee for a not very good coffee, if you like to enjoy a cafe with nice interior this is an okay place but however the coffee is not the best some of the baristas here lack skills & they might mess up your latte art so if you're looking for a cute social media picture you may want to consider your options it was a hit or miss for me a few times I went there & every time I ordered a coffee was either the prettiest latte art or the most terrible looking like a drawing from a 6 year old, ambiance & presentation is very important for a $7 coffee(small) & after I mentioned this to the barista she told me to "just think of it as abstract art" & didn't even offer to redo it, especially in the area of old port you can find so many great cafes with great coffees & aesthetically appealing, this place is more like a donut house where you can also get coffee with it so more like a fancy overpriced Krispy Kreme. very disappointed in the presentation & the attitudeView more

Absolument parfait sauf le fait que personne ne parle français. Par contre la serveuse dont je n'ai pas eu la bonne idée de demander le prénom à été vraiment adorable & serviable. Je suis handicapé & elle m'a offert de m'aider si j'avais besoin de quoi que ce soit & à porté mon café pour moi en me disant de ne pas me sentir coupable de demander de l'aide.
