Review Summary

3 Minots is described as a karaoke hotspot with a buzzing crowd and a vibe that many reviews call fun and immersive, where the owner performing multiple roles behind the scenes adds to the spectacle for some even as it can feel chaotic for others. The atmosphere is often hot inside, and drinks can be pricey; paying to sing is sometimes cash only, which some patrons find odd. Service is frequently noted as slow, with reports of discriminatory treatment and rules that can make the experience feel uneven depending on how quickly guests drink or how the songs are handled. The entertainment and crowd energy can offset the drawbacks for karaoke lovers, and several patrons mention memorable moments, including the barmaid and standout sake bomb moments that helped make a birthday night special. However, some critics describe abrupt song transitions, loud tambourine playing, and long waits between songs that disrupt timing, and a few note that the pitchers and overall costs can be steep. Overall, 3 Minots delivers a high energy karaoke night that many find addictive and worth returning to, even as price, service consistency, and cleanliness concerns influence the overall impression.

I used to recommend this place wholeheartedly. It was worth the trip just to watch the spectacle of the'all-business' owner doing 3 different jobs at once (bartender, karaoke DJ, tambourine player).

Sure, he puts one song after the other with ZERO seconds of pause between each, so you have to run to the stage when it's your turn & start singing mid-sentence.

Sure, if there's a long instrumental solo in your song, he'll just skip ahead during the song with no warning.

Sure, his loud, off-tempo tambourine playing will mess up your timing.

But this was all part of the charm of the place. It was an acceptable & amusing level of abuse.

Until I went there again last night, & suddenly the pitcher was 33$. Thirty-three dollars. Nuh-huh.

You can phunk with my heart all you want, but my wallet is off-limits. Farewell, old friend.

Pretty cool spot if you're a karaoke fan! Nice decor, pretty good service, even on busy nights. It's a good vibe, & that's coming from someone who isn't really a karaoke fan! The one complaint is that the washrooms are super gross. Thankfully, I'm a guy, so there's minimal contact, but keep that in mind.
