Xiao long bao on est loin de sammy & soup dumpling. Il souvre facile & la soup du dumpling sort en raison qu'il se defait trop facilement. Bon malgre tout

Nice dumpling place, very clean, pleasant to eat there or for take out. Restaurant inspires confidence in hygiene practices of handling food-no strange odors, dim lights or hidden kitchen. Staff is ready to attend you, able to answer questions & no weird vibes. I ordered a wonton soup, rice, dumplings & imperial rolls-every thing was well packaged & tasty. For my first time being there I was very please with my overall ordering experience- rarity for me on Wellington Street, in Verdun.
The name of the restaurant is exactly what you would see when you walk in, 3 madames 😀. One taking order, one wrapping dumplings & one in the kitchen.
From their simple but realistic restaurant's name, you could expect the same style for the food.
The food here is simply good! Taking a bite & you know exactly what you are eating. If you often cook at home, you would recognize easily all the ingredients & seasonings. The food here does make me feel like eating at home 💯.
I did not have a MSG shock, did not sense any strange smell or taste, no diarrhea after, which are all things I have experienced from other big chain dumplings in downtown...
So, this place is great! Give it a try. I tried dumpling soup, xiaolongbao & fried buns, all are good. Chef's choice means assorted fillings, a good choice for first-time customers.
They have dumpling with fried-egg filling, which was new to me & it was good 👍
Amazing dumpling spot! The soup dumplings were so delicious & they are very generous with the proportions. Employees are the sweetest as well. Would recommend 100% :)
just a gem of a dumpling spot. all their food is fantastic, perfect soup dumplings & always get their General Tao too. just top notch & their service is excellent as well.
UPDATE
been 2 more times after my initial review & was disappointed. They changed their recipe based on some comments from people because xiao long bao go get that soup requires gelatin & fat & apparently that upset some people. Please, do not go to other cultures then ask them to modify the recipes, go elsewhere or order regular dumplings. I wish they didn't fold to these requests. I don't know if they reverted it back to the original recipe since. It just wasn't as juicy & as good because of the modifications. Sammi soup dumpling it is!
ORIGINAL review:
DELICIOUS, you must try, will be back again.
Had xiao long bao, the pork was sold out :( got the chicken & mushroom & it was so good. Also had the beef curry dumpling & pork coriander pan fried dumpling & the cucmber entree. Every single thing was perfectly delicious. Very flavorful, juicy, tender, the right texture for the filling & the skin (all home made) & the skin was just thin enough. Loved all of it! There is a lady that sits at the front making dumplings non stop.
I'd suggest doing dine in for xiao long bao, I don't think you'll get the same experience with take out or delivery. There are a few tables inside, nicely lit, it's a cute spot to eat in. The lady serving us (one of the 3 madames that own this joint) was super sweet.
You can also order water or tea (& tea isn't charged extra) so it's a great authentic Chinese experience :) Highly recommend! I want to try everything on the menu.
amazing quality dumplings, savory & chunky. cute menu. have tried a few dumpling places but have been coming back here many times since my discovery; for dine-in & delivery. my favorites are the xiao bao long broth dumplings chicken/shrimp/scallop & the chicken/mushroom/shrimp & I keep coming back for those especially! also had the fried buns with beef curry, beef & corn dumplings & the wonton soup waw! even the dumplings in the little soup were well filled. love this place
First time! I had wonton soup & dumplings - sooo good! The broth was delicious, & I loved the thin, delicate dumpling wrapper. Will definitely order again!
