Great location & ambience. Inside is a traditional brasserie & bar vibe, outside is a nice street scene. Our food, sadly, was very average. Nice range of beers. I enjoyed the amber. We had poutine which was good, not great. The burgers were disappointing, over cooked & dry. The service was friendly & responsive. I'd say go for a beer, drinks & some snacks.
Went with family, was excited when we looked at the menu. Ordered beer & a cocktail, they were decent. But food was a bit disappointing. I ordered medium rare steak but it was almost medium well when it was served...
Food was underwhelming. Both burgers were dry, not juicy. Pizzas are tortillas not thin pizza dough :( . Steak was medium when we ordered medium rare. Staff did not check on our table at all. Only took the order & brought the food. Service ends right there. I understand that the place is so busy with people ordering alcohol non stop that they don't care about food patrons, but for that reason I would not recommend this place. Unless you want to sit & drink beer all day there
So.. The service was excellent. Our waiter Olivier truly saved what would have otherwise been a mid experience. He was great throughout the service. The wait time was unacceptable. Took 50 minutes just to get our starter. The main course temperature of the food was warm not hot.
Reasonable prices in the heart of Old Montreal, tres chic. Good beer & roadhouse food served by a welcoming waitress. Great atmosphere in a very old building for North America
