I live in RDP and I'll be brutally honest we have nothing!! We lack in restaurants...too many old man bars...too little commercial cafes...and no real amenities or services except for pharmacies and groceries stores. Shekz is probably the best restaurant in this little corner of Montreal...It has a nice atmosphere and a nice ambiance (for RDP). I had the General Tao chicken and although im not a big fan of the oversweet szechwuan style, the GT chicken was delish. It was decently priced...and close to home (for an eastender). Unless you have a friend in the east end that you haven't seen in eons...dont head on over from Kirkland just to try Shekz....but if you like the fusion craze...Italian and szechwuan is quite interesting!

Take all the other peoples ratings and take it with a grain of salt because I have been there often and I cannot relate to what their saying. The food is traditional greek food...none of that tzatziki drowned pita stuff. If you like fresh fish and a meal from a-z definitely check it out. The service every single time I've been there was very good. The staff is very attentive and they're not anoying when they check up on you to see if everything is fine. They're warm and you feel like they genuinely want you to enjoy your meal. If you're a person who likes to nibble and share a variety of entrees then definetly try it out. It is a little bit pricy...if you want to enjoy it in two people and have a good amount of entrees and the main plate without wine your looking at $90-$110. This is a "once and while special occasion" type restaurant where you will leave satisfied for sure. Plus! If you want to chill out in a lounge style atmosphere they have a nice bar downstairs and a room where you can Bazuki if you really want to.

If your the type to try your own restaurants and have caught the "bring your own wine fever" I highly reccomend this restaurant. For 25-30$ you eat very well. I have been there twice and have been happy both times as well. I reccomend the Calamari and the Lobster Ravioli. The atmosphere is good with a clean open kitchen concept. The decor is trendy but at the same time warm. The veranda area at the back is the restaurant's hidden gem. The parking is small and tight and if you are a big group go somewhere else because the wait can be long and the restaurant floor plan is not designed to handle a group over 10. If you like trying new places and get a kick out of finding a good cheap eat then go to Ottavio.
