I have tried several portuguese restos and they all try to outdo each other. Comments for Casa Alentejo and Doval are written by the same people. They all know each other(I know them) and it is constant criticism. The older portuguese generation thought that Doval would fold because Maria was gone. It did not. The last server to join the Alentejo team from Doval followed HER! Wonder why? He was always in a bad mood and only treated the regular big tippers well. Ba-bye!!!! The character that plays the guitar and pretends to know how to sing, sings at all portuguese restos. He's trying to a living in exchange for a meal. This been said, to all of you who chose Alentejo becuase you decided to follow your friends, more power to you! Live and let live! Food @ Doval is still as good and people at this place are just as friendly. The review about serving leftover food from other diners, is malicious and not credible. If you want to know how good a restaurant is, check the staff's plates. I have seen the boys at the end of the night, and even on a full stomach I would dine again with them! I enjoy my meals there all the time and see many familiar returning clients . That is a testimony! Try it and you be the jugde. Enjoy!
