My husband who works in China town ordered food over the phone to pick up after work on Friday night. The food was the most disgusting I ever ate and tried in my entire restaurant experience. This is the worse Chinese cuisine I ever had! What a shame! I am not a peaky eater I eat just anything, but this was a garbage. Not sure if it was because the order was placed by a man or because it was to take out. Normally take out food is not as good as when you eat in. Very sneaky! OK - now details. Pineapple chicken consisted of huge ball of uncooked dough with no chicken inside. Well maybe it was there but I didn't notice it. Gross! Noodles Shanghai style was a dry burned on a few spots square bar of noodles, just taken from the pack and placed on the top of shrimps, pork & vegetables in a stretchy sauce, tasted like nothing, sauce was a corn starch in a water. Terrible! I want to make an owner to eat this. Fried rice with chicken. It was fried in lard, which is fine if it was used once, but it was a re-used lard, fried too many times, or they didn't clean their pans. Gross! The rice has this strange after taste. Rolls were brown, probably re-heated or just fried in dirty oil. Frying oil supposed to be filtered every day. Soup won-ton, tasteless! Water with pieces of boiled dough with NO MEAT at all! Gross! So cheap it is unbelievable. The only thing I was able to eat was ribs. The portions were very small and we ordered menu for 2. Good thing I didn't eat mine otherwise wouldn't be enough. My husband ate his just for the saké of it, he was hungry but he was very upset too. Shame Shame Shame. Never again. Extremely upsetting experience.

Elixor is my favorite in Montreal. Food is amazing and different from what is offered in avarage menu. I would not exchange eating there to eat at LA QUEUE DE CHEVAL or RIB & RIF or Italian restaurant. Cheff's creation is increadible. I was so happy that it opened on West Island. I used to go to the one in Laval. Laval restaurant I find better, maybe because they are in business for a long time. The one on West Island is a bit at the learning stage. But I stil llike it! Portions are huge and delicious! Menus covered mostly all main world cusine. Bravo and thank you!
