Intrigued by the hype heard around town, decided to try out the brunch. What a disappointment! I ordered the French toast --I guess this must be an "English" version inspired by fish and chips because the bread might well have been deep-fried. It was s-o-o greasy, thank goodness for the cranberries to off-set some of the oiliness. After a few bites I popped a TUMS to save my stomach. My dining companion ordered the English Breakfast plate which was pronounced so-so; the spoonful of beans was quite tasty, actually. Cute idea offering us the use of grandma's china teacups, kinda like a wink, given the overall trendy branche decor. Kudos for the friendly hostess.
