I've now sampled this sham Japanese grub on more occasions than I care to remember. Whether I go and dine in that modish yet ultimately graceless haunt or order for delivery, the result is always the same: bitter disappointment and mild frustration. I don't make claims to being an expert on Japanese cuisine but I can fairly judge what's good and what's not and this tasteless dump is definitely not.

I've been to this sorry place twice and thus have been thoroughly disappointed on both occasions. The food is uninspired and humdrum at best, while the atmosphere smacks of a bourgeois philistinism mingled with the cheap fragrances and gaudy aesthete of young would-be glitterati. Repellent is a word that comes to mind. I'll never go back there again despite the fact that the service was not only competent but also welcoming and helpful.
