Nouilles Star (Star Noodles)

I simply love this place. It's a popular place for students to eat .... prbably because it's dirt cheap and the service is fast (useful in between classes). Honetly it doesn't look very nice on the inside but your food will take 5-10 minutes to arrive and for less then 10 $ a plate .... can you complain? the best thing to do is to go there when accompanied by at least 1 more person. Ask them for smaller plates and this way you can share ..... trust me it's the only way to do this. Order this: -Thai fried rice with Shirmp (OR pad thai with shrimp) -Peanut Butter chicken (comes with yummy crispy spinach) if you are more then 2 people and you wish to order more dishes to share, i recommend you add any of the following: -beef brocoli -general tao chicken - the chikcne and shrip with cashew nuts My boyfriend and I have been going there for about 5 years (every 2-3 weeks) and I love it. We introduced several of our friends to this place and most have become addicts to the Thai Fried Rice :) Enjoy!

La Perle

3.5

So I went to La Perle last week, and we were 4 people. We went for lunch and the menu was not very extensive, but then again the price was lower. The restaurant outdoors decor is horrible, the indoors is ok, although nothing special. The table cloth, dishes and everything looked clean egnough. The service was ok although sometimes waiters took their sweet ass time. The food itself was very much to our liking. We had: won ton soup - average fried won ton - yummy! peanut butter won ton (?) - it was good but not brilliant srping rolls - pretty good ok i can't remember what else we had from the entrees then we had: - pepper chicken with spinach - very nice - seasame beef - the best i have ever had! -general tao - pretty good - chicken fried rice - not great ..... like cafeteria food - some curry chicken thing - nobody liked this dish -some shrimp in this red sauce - delicious - shangai noodles - good but nothign special Other stuff but I cant remember what else. Overall i would say that i liked eating there quite a lot. The food was well prepared and the Lunch price is ok. I dont know if they have a different menu in the evening but if they dont the price is 26$ and 27 on the weekends and it is not worth it if its the same menu was for lunch. for lunch it was like 16$ or 17$ and it was definetely worth it Try it out, its a nice place and the 4 of us will go back. Cheers!
