I have been going to Chalet for almost 30 yrs. Roasted bbq'd chicken that is almost always juicy (sometimes if it's later in the evening it can get a little tough on the drumstick side). Either breast or thigh drip juices on your plate or in their sac. It gets busy during suppertime, of course, but they work fast and you don't ever really wait that long, for either sit-down, pick-up or delivery, I find they take longest during supper, of course, because everyone will go, and are willing to wait. The fries are so good; they are thick enough with a hint of sweetness to them. But if you get the end of the batch some end up too crispy; I like some mush factor to my fries. The gravy is top-notch, hands down. The wings are too tough for me, I like a juicy thigh to bite into. The hot chicken sandwich with peas is always hot when it arrives. My fave dessert is the cheesecake for sure; huge slice topped with cherries or strawberries if in season. It's the chicken and fries, and the homey atmosphere that brings people to Chalet.
