We would like to showcase the Japanese culture in Montreal such as millenary traditions, manga, gastronomy, martial arts, fashion, and music, etc.
This festival will take place on April 9th and 10th from 11 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 10m to 6 pm on Sunday at Centre St-Pierre at 1215 Rue de la Visitation in Montreal (close to metro Beaudry).About ten vendors will be present to be able to offer their products, concerts, and workshops to our participants at the event.
Hanami in Japanese literally means' flower viewing and we Japanese appreciate a lot the beauty of the sakura as well as this incroyable moment. The cherry blossom begins to bloom from the end of March (in the south) until the beginning of May (in the North). Normally we organize picnics with family, friends, and even coworkers to enjoy the beauty of Sakura.
The entrance will be 2$, free for kids, and if you come in cosplay. A bag of goodies will be waiting for you at the entrance
