Wine and cider lovers are invited to Marché Jean-Talon on August 9th and 10th from 11am to 7pm for the 4th edition of the Foire des vins et cidres d'ici, in collaboration with SDC Petite Italie.
A festive weekend awaits with around fifteen Quebec wineries and cider houses offering tastings of red, white, rosé, and orange wines, as well as sparkling, still, ice, and fire ciders. Tastings will be offered at affordable prices, and bottles will be available for purchase directly from producers.
New this year, a gourmet tasting trail will allow visitors to create their own aperitif platter while exploring the market. Participating merchants will offer discounts or special items to pair with local wines and ciders.
Live music will set the tone with the Abaigar Quartet playing gypsy jazz classics from 11am to 2pm. DJ André Bazin (Saturday) and DJ Kelly (Sunday) will take over from 3pm to 7pm.
Admission is free. Tasting glasses are available for $3.50 and tastings range from $1 to $5 depending on the vendor.
