DISCOVERY PICNIC
The SAQ Discovery Picnics will allow you to discover local products in a festive atmosphere.
Depending on the Sunday's theme, your basket will be composed of a selection of Quebec wines or bubbles paired with regional agri-food products. Comfortably installed on the banks of the Richelieu River, you will be able to taste and exchange to the mixes of our guest DJ. A sommelier will also be on hand to enhance the discovery experience. Weather permitting, the sky will also be filled with hot air balloons.

EXTREME DIVES
A world first: professional divers, Lysanne Richard and Yves Milord, will exceed their limits by each performing a high dive from a hot air balloon in flight.
This idea has been on Lysanne's mind since 2016 and for the first time in history, she will finally have the opportunity to surpass herself by combining skill and expertise with the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
THE CHALLENGES OF HIGH DIVING
Jump from 20 to 25 meters high, the equivalent of an 8-story building
Impact forces upon entering the water equivalent to 23 times the diver's weight
A 3 second fall at a speed of more than 70 KM/H
Specialized training: minimize the final impact by entering the water at an angle of 10 degrees or less

MAGIC NIGHT
A distinctive and unique event at the International Balloon Festival, the Magic Night gives you a whole new perspective on hot air balloons. It is a fantastic show of balloons held on the ground at night, illuminated like Chinese lanterns.
On August 7th, the balloons return to the original site of the festival, the Saint John airport. From the comfort of your car, witness a field of balloons and luminescent lights.
TAILGATE & AIR SHOWS BY VOLARIA
On August 14th, come and witness incredible aerial acrobatics as a variety of aircraft take to the skies over the Saint John airport. The Budweiser Tailgate will present a unique version of Volaria, the long-awaited aerial festival at the ICAR Complex in Mirabel.
You will be dazzled by the breathtaking acrobatics of a Yak-55M, a simulated fight between L29 jets and the flight of a Nolinor 737. None other than Paul Houde, a great aviation enthusiast and official spokesperson for Volaria, will be on hand to comment on the show.
Street trucks, beers and refreshments, pop and rock music from the 80's and 90's and a ground display of multiple airplanes for all to marvel at.
YOGA
Participate in a sunrise yoga session and enjoy a unique uplifting experience in symbiosis with the magic of flight. This event aims to create a moment of meditation and calm under a sky colored with balloons. The yoga sessions will take place in a face-to-face format with the number of participants limited to 250 people. If the weather does not permit balloons, the event will be postponed to a later date.
The sessions will be broadcast live on the International Balloon Festival's social networks.
