Experience the Fireworks in Montreal With Croisières AML
The International des Feux Loto-Québec returns in 2025 with its world-class pyrotechnic shows. Every summer, top fireworks firms from around the world light up the sky over Montreal with dazzling displays.
To experience these magical evenings differently, Croisières AML offers a complete journey on the water: dinner on the St. Lawrence, front-row views of the action, a festive vibe and a peaceful escape from the crowds.
As the boat leaves the Old Port, the city slowly disappears. Then, at 10 p.m., the fireworks burst to life just above the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, perfectly visible from the deck.
The International des Feux Loto-Québec: A Montreal Tradition, Now From the Water
From June 26th to July 31st, 2025, the International des Feux Loto-Québec will once again take over the sky above Montreal. Each show features a different country competing with their best pyrotechnic choreography. Music is broadcast in perfect sync with the fireworks, creating an immersive experience.

The Jacques-Cartier Bridge stands closed to traffic, but filled with pedestrians. Thousands gather along the waterfront, in nearby parks and around La Ronde. Croisières AML offers a front-row alternative with fireworks cruises that let you enjoy it all without the crowds.
As the evening unfolds, the boat glides under the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, past the greenery of Île Sainte-Hélène and the glowing buildings of Old Montreal. Passengers enjoy a unique perspective thanks to a strategic position on the river. The show begins, both in the sky and reflected in the water.
Feast, Cruise and Watch: 3 River Packages Made for Fireworks Nights
Croisières AML offers three packages to experience the fireworks from the river. Each includes dinner on board, unobstructed views, live music, the official soundtrack broadcast in real time, and departures from the Old Port of Montreal. The boat aligns at just the right moment for one of the best views in the city.
The Signature Package delivers the most complete experience. It includes five courses: filet mignon, lobster tails, priority boarding, a local cocktail, a bottle of wine for two, a digestif, a reserved window-side table and VIP access to the front of the boat. The perfect choice if you're looking to indulge and take in the show in full style.
The Red Carpet Package comes with a sparkling aperitif, priority boarding, a refined five-course dinner, a bottle of wine for two and a digestif. You'll enjoy extra touches of elegance and a panoramic view throughout the evening.
The five-course dinner offers a meticulously curated menu prepared on board, beginning with an amuse-bouche, followed by a starter and main courses featuring local ingredients. The chefs have designed each dish to elevate the evening, from the first sip of wine to the final firework.
One particular highlight of every meal is the slow-braised beef cheek, tenderly simmered for 14 hours. Served with thyme and Quebec pepper jus, it's all about tenderness and deep flavour.
Vegan and gluten-free options are available upon request when booking.
No matter which option you choose, the experience on the river transforms the evening into something extraordinary. A brilliant summer memory in the making.
At the Helm: Executive Chef Santino Testani
Behind every plate served on board is the work of Montreal-based executive chef Santino Testani. A graduate of the LaSalle College Hotel School, he honed his craft in some of the country's top venues, including Château Montebello, Hôtel Saint-Sulpice and Dalvay by the Sea in Prince Edward Island.
Known for his precision and attention to detail, Santino creates menus that are refined yet generous, inspired by local terroir and rooted in seasonality. He and his team prepare every meal directly on board, ensuring freshness and consistency every day.
Under the leadership of Chef Testani, the AML Cavalier Maxim serves approximately 60,000 meals per year. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, he infuses his unique style into every plate, whether it's a lavish five-course dinner or a delightful Sunday brunch.
Croisières AML: A Local Company Anchored in the St. Lawrence
Founded in 1972, Croisières AML is a family-owned company and a Canadian leader in river cruises. In Montreal, their food service is driven by a simple but strong goal: to deliver a complete on-board experience where fine dining meets exploration.
Everything is inspired by the territory itself. The beauty of the St. Lawrence River meets the richness of Quebec's food scene. On board, a dedicated brigade prepares every dish using ingredients from carefully chosen producers. Think Canard Goulu, La Belle Excuse, Charlevoix cheesemakers and cider makers from across the province.
Whether it's weekend brunches, themed dinners or all-day bistro menus, the offerings evolve with the time of day but always stay true to their mission: generous, thoughtful food rooted in the river's rhythm.
Croisières AML also hosts a wide range of private and corporate events, from weddings to holiday parties, including tailor-made evenings during the fireworks season. Special cruises, such as Drag Brunch or Happy Hour, add a touch of excitement and entertainment to the calendar.
Extend the Summer on the River
A morning brunch, a dinner cruise under the fireworks or a themed outing with friends... every departure with Croisières AML offers a new way to see Montreal. Between the city skyline, the shores of Île Sainte-Hélène and the glowing Jacques-Cartier Bridge, the moving backdrop turns the river into a living stage.
Inside, modern furniture, large windows and open-air terraces make the view part of the show. And on the plate, local products tell the story of Quebec through the hands of a brigade that cooks everything on site.
All upcoming departures, menus and packages are listed on their website. Once you're on board, all that's left to do is enjoy the moment.
