We were looking for sushi takeout on a Wednesday night after 8 p.m., which isn't an easy mission around here! Luckily, we found this amazing spot & wow, what a great surprise.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiles & even offered water while choosing our order. The place had at least 15 staff working, all cheerful & clearly enjoying what they do.
Honestly, I haven't seen such a happy & busy team since before COVID.
Even though it was 8:30 p.m. & they closed at 9, nobody rushed us or seemed bothered. That kind of service really makes a difference.
The sushi itself was top-notch! The fish-to-rice ratio was perfect; more fish (thank you!) & less rice. Every piece
was fresh, tasty, & beautifully made.
My wife went a little wild with the order (as usual 😂), but even the leftovers the next day tasted just as good, proof of how fresh everything was.
Prices are fair, similar to other spots, but the quality & service easily put them a step above. The restaurant is also way bigger & more authentic-looking inside than you'd expect from the outside.
All in all, we left super happy & full. This place definitely earned a repeat visit from us!
Fantastic sushi with fresh, flavorful ingredients & a menu that offers a great variety of options for every palate. The quality of the food definitely stands out, & it's clear that care is put into each dish. The only drawback is the layout of the dining space - the tables are placed quite close together, which can make the dining experience feel a bit cramped, especially during busy hours. That said, the excellent sushi & friendly atmosphere still make it a spot worth visiting if you're craving top-quality sushi.
Sushi is often a hit & miss. On Saturday night the place was fully booked, which is always a good sign for quality. Service took a while, but was well worth waiting for. Very friendly motivated service.
1× 2 small Imperial roles $7. Well wrapped & perfectly fried but pretty much basic.
1× Kani Age $15. Not impressed at all.
1× Udon beef plus chicken $21+3. A very small portion. Even with extra meat, the amount of meat was almost enough. Tasted okay.
1× Dragon Komodo, Maximus, Soukie, Blue Zento, Jade = $125. Presentation of the sushi was impressive. But the quality of crafting the sushi was poor. They were falling apart & didn't think through the conception process. Sushis are not meant to have in 4 bites. The cuts were uneven & some cuts were not done straight. The rice locked flavor & some toppings were under seasoned. Finally in the flavor was half disappointing. I really enjoyed Maximus, Blue Zento & my wife liked Soukie. I would go back for those dishes.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere & the quality of the service. The quality of the ingredients & cooking method is high class, but the flavor doesn't match that quality. The udon beef for example, it was not soggy & not overcooked. That was done pretty well. But I had very flavorful udon for $12. The quality & the high standard of the sushi was very disappointing. The sushi artist didn't do a good job crafting the sushi. Besides, the idea of tall sushi is not a good idea. So in this case, it is overpriced.
I rarely rate 5 for anything but my god this is a well ran restaurant
Service & food always top quality. I had steak that was amazing & my wife salmon that was beyond perfection

Great quality food, service was good.
Lady (owner?) who greeted us was not friendly.
Very slow for food to come out when the restaurant was 1/3 occupied.
Loved our dinner & service as usual! Everyone loved their food & the service was superb even though the restaurant was busy. Our downtown Montreal quality restaurant in the heart of Ile Perrot! We're so lucky!
Restrooms needs to be cleaned refreshed & functional. Meal good but a little pricy for the quality. Don't recommend monitoring drinks. They don't allow more than 6 pp per reservation...even if in green zone & don't hold a log. Most of their waiters still in training...
The food was delicious! The sushi very well made & fresh. The service was what brought the review from 5 stars to 4. They were quite slow & we did feel a little abandoned at times at the table. My mom has been to the restaurant multiple times & said this was not the normal quality of service. We would go back!
