The menu features crowd favorites from Greek salad to calamari, octopus, sea bass and lamb chops, with desserts like tiramisu, Greek yogurt desserts and loukoumades that provide a perfect ending, while service is frequently described as attentive and friendly and the overall vibe is enhanced by occasional live DJ sets. The ambience, the summer patio, and the high quality across the board are repeatedly highlighted, with guests noting great cocktails, wine, and overall value despite occasional busy or noisy periods. Overall, Zante delivers memorable Mediterranean flavors and a welcoming setting that brings guests back time after time.
This may just be the best plate of swordfish in Montreal. Not to be missed. Attention to detail in prep & plating. Nothing sits at the pass. Everything gets to the table hot & tasty. Note: do not forget your garnish. Those roasted cherry tomatoes are so good, I could eat a whole meal of just these tomato's.
J'adore ce resto! J'y suis allé à plusieurs reprises & je n'ai jamais été déçu. Tout y est! Excellent repas, service attentionné & professionnel, ambiance sympathique, surtout sur la terrasse.
The food wasn't good. The starter (zucchini) had too much oil & the tzaziki was bland. Both the starter & main course had no salt or pepper & portion sizes were very small. The service was so so. I asked for salt & pepper & it never arrived. I had to ask again to get it & by then I was done with half my meal. When we told the waiter we did not like the food she counter argued that but you finished your plate. Not a fine dine by any stretch.
Visiting Montreal for the first time, & enjoyed an outstanding dining experience at Zantas. The huge shrimp, lamb chops & grilled octopus were outstanding!!
This place got very overpriced for dinner... 42$ for a octopus appetized that was very so so & presentation 0/10 (chopped tentacles with a little bite of oil & onion ... main course 48$ for a piece of cod, 45$ shrimps... Service OK, but not exceptional... I have been there a few time in the past for lunch, but for dinner it was the last time...
Zante was pleasant in the end, after working through too loud music (lowered after request), incorrect food & drink brought to table, & more than an hour wait for our food.
The fastest thing I received all night was the bill & I didn't even have the time to look at it before the server handed me the credit card machine to pay for it!!
The music so loud & inappropriate for a nice dinner on the town. Can't understand if it's having an identity crisis, but seriously a DJ in a lovely restaurant & no dance floor. I can still hear the vibrations from the music in my head 18hrs late
What can I say about Zante Restaurant? It is my best restaurant in town, Good food, nice atmosphere, the staff is excellent & the owners are very jovial. I give then 5 stars in everything
Super soirée avec nos clients & collègues provenant D'Europe & d'autres provinces canadiennes. La qualité du service & de la nourriture fut impeccable!
