Montreal icon restuarant offering an extensive varied menu that would be bound to satisfy anyone who loves good Greek food. The service is reliable & the atmosphere on the terrace during the summer season is especially vibrant. Highly recommended.
Sprung an over priced Pre-Fix menu on us at the table. With weak & limmtted offerings.
The crab cakes were so dry & stuffed with filling it should have been called - Breadcrumb cakes.
The Salmon Tartare, was not fresh & not edible, However the presentation was very nice.
Greek Restaurant & NO GREEK RED WINES - really ?
The white wine, a Assyrtiko was served warm - not even room temp. When I mentioned this they brought over a glass of ice with no apology.
Told them, on my second glass if they could chill it that would be great.
Second glass comes - WARM with a glass of ice.
The Tzatziki was very good & the sever was pleasant - although the warm white wine debacle was on her.
Not a chance we would ever be back which is a shame with all the business entertaining I do downtown.
There are simply to many choices -mediterranean or other to waist on a place that needs to elevate to reach mediocrity.
It's really too bad you can't upload pictures here. Otherwise I would share pictures of the best Greek Salad in the country... Lamb chops from the heavens & it just goes on. An amazing dinner last night with my Wife at the bar. Lots of action & interaction with the Team... Mackenzie made some superb martinis & the wine was delicious. Truly world class. Can't wait to come back
Its been too long since my last visit to Zante & boy am I glad I chose it for this past Saturday night. Costa & his Team as always made me feel like a part of the Family. I was seated @ the bar where Mackenzie took exceptionally great care of me. Meal was heavenly... Greek salad, best zucchini chips in town & a Chilean Seabass from the heavens. & throughout... the entire Team made sure all was great & that I was happy. I can't wait to go back. Thank you Costa
Hadnt been there in 4 years & was looking forward to it. I love Greek salad but as we all know, a greek salad is only as good as the tomatoes so i asked the waiter very politely if the tomatoes were going to be good, if not i would order another salad. He told me they were "amazing". Well they werent !!! They were soft & pasty & i didn't eat it.....he never asked if everything was alright..... main course was expensive & very average. I didnt make a scene, didn't complain but im never going back !!

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were 4 & ordered the grilled vegetables & the calamari as appetizers, & had the grilled octopus, sea bass & grilled shrimp as our main meals. Everything was fresh & delicious & our bottle of Greek white wine was the perfect accompaniment. Friendly service throughout. An excellent evening!
Very pricey for standard Greek food, fish was cooked well however our roasted vegetables that was suppose to be the side was scorched french beans. Ordered a pre-dinner drink & had 3 sides served before even finishing my drink, in & out in 1 hour at the end the waiter brought the bill & was hovering at the table waiting for it to be paid. Asked for some leftovers to be brought home to our daughter, they never brought it back. Felt like eating at a fast food restaurant where there are no reservations & a line up waiting to get in! There of course was no line up. Very disappointed, it was our wedding anniversary dinner & we had planned on dining at a Montreal Greek restaurant that is without contest the #1 in the city, didn't because of a recommendation to eat at Zante .... big mistake

Zante means amazing in Greek. First time back since Covid came into our lives. Usual superb food & Staff were there... a real treat & a great time had by all. cant wait to come back again.
Had a great meal of perfectly cooked sea bass, perfectly cooked vegetable (still dreaming of their potatoes!) & started with a fresh from the garden Greek salad.Sat on their lovely terrace. Great evening with attentive service.
You can't go wrong at Zantes! The food is fresh & prepared perfectly. Service is attentive, & the cocktails wonderful. The Greek white wine, Emphasis, recommended by our waiter, was delicious. A bit loud for a business dinner, but great for any other occasion!
Zante was outstanding. The menu is diverse, the portions enormous (& delicious), the service attentive & friendly, & the people watching interesting. The Greek salad is wonderfully fresh & big enough for two people. The crab cake appetizer is big enough to be a main & the cakes are all crab meat. The grilled octopus also was large enough to be a main, & was perfectly cooked & tender. The veal chop was outstanding. & the dessert (Greek donuts with honey) were delectable. We definitely will return on our next visit to Montreal.

excellent food here always!! the general vibe is really nice. Great Greek food, one of the best in Montreal! Also, we had a great server Jimmy, & he provided us with attentive service throughout!!
Was a fabulous first time experience & certainly not the last visit! Service was impeccable! Giuliano, our waiter took great care of us, giving us the time we needed to enjoy our meal without being rushed out. Food was delish & well presented. The lamb chops were sublime as were the loukoumades which were compliments of the house. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine Greek meal.
