A sad shadow of its former self. Staff don't appear to enjoy their work. Unresponsive to requests. Have to be told what to bring to the table to eat fish & chips. Old TVs bad definition. Sound quality? Don't ask. Obstructed views with bad light fixtures.
Find another place to have a point & watch a game.

Supplemental to my review - no manager came to see me. A sweet waitress that I know asked how things were. I asked for another beer. It came. I drank it. A surly/scowling fellow behind that bar made eye contact but said nothing. In the end I was comped two pints.
I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I feel this one is warranted.
Yesterday, the welcome was disappointing. A young server greeted us with an unfriendly attitude, giving the impression that she didn't want to be there. We were seated at a dirty, very sticky table with visible food residue still on it. After waiting several minutes, she eventually came back to take our order.
I politely asked if the table could be cleaned, but it seemed like a chore for her. The cleaning was done very superficially, spreading the mess rather than actually fixing the issue.
Fortunately, a more experienced server later brought our order & provided the kind of professional & pleasant service I've usually received at this establishment.
It is therefore with some hesitation that I leave this review, as I do believe this is generally a good pub. However, this experience did not reflect their usual standards. The service was technically done, but without care or motivation, which unfortunately affected our visit
The ultimate neighbourhood pub! Everyone is kind, hard-working, & so so caring. Locals or newbies, doesn't matter who you are, you are treated like a neighbour!
Always such a fun pub where you immediately feel comfortable. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, the staff is warm & welcoming. Great music, the biggest game at any given time on screen, & a super fun clientele. Prices are fair, quality is great, & service is excellent.
Cute & cozy spot in the Monkland village! From hockey nights, to pub quiz on Wednesdays, to great breakfast on the weekends, this place never disappoints! The staff here are all fantastic, & a special shoutout to Andrew for always putting a smile on my face before my coffee on Sunday mornings (not an easy thing to do!).
Ye Olde Orchard is a Monkland Village staple for a reason. It's a classic Irish pub right in the heart of NDG with a great, easygoing vibe. It's always a reliable spot for a fun night out. Went on a Wednesday for trivia & hockey which made it a really lively atmosphere. Sat at the bar & had a burger & fries with a Guinness, & my boyfriend had the fish & chips. Great beer & solid pub food all around.
Service was friendly & welcoming, & it's the kind of place you can tell has lots of regulars. Just an easy, fun spot to hang out. We'll definitely be back 🍔🍻🏒
